Got a plant I grew from a seedling that's about 1.5 feet. It has been growing in my office kind of near a window but with no direct light and was doing well. Recently though its been looking a lil sad. So i Just transplanted it to a pot with a soil/sand mix but my leaves have brown spots that are spreading & I can't figure out why. My leaves are a lil droopy also. Anyone got some advice? Looked online I guess it could be lack of sunlight, too much water, or maybe root rot

persia americana, hmm...
Do not over water...and use a well draining soil with a high nitrogen content. Give it occsional heavy waterings. Let dead leaves sit at the base of the tree, it makes its own mulch! Put it in some good sun and let it dry out.
As far as the yellowing of the leaves, you need to get some iron and zinc chelates. Use all ferts. in very small portions! Read the back of the product!
Good Luck!

I'm not an expert or anything, but don't avocados grow on trees? I would imagine it would have to be outside for even the slightest chance of bearing fruit.

Not sure on the growing part. My parents have a few trees. They took YEARS to produce. It's insane how long it takes for them to grow. Makes me understand a bit of why they cost so much.

i dont know if it is just me but avacados are a bitch to grow. I've had a tree for 10+ years and they never got bigger than a ping pong ball.

Yeah I hit google aready but just wanted 2 get some feedback from anyone else who has grown them.

I think ima let the soil dry out a lil & give it some sunlight n the mornings while its cool. When it somes time wto water it again ima hit it with some additives & see if it perks up
