This "journalist" Mark knows absolutely nothing about the automotive industry. That is the main key here. If you take it all in what he wrote it basically comes down to this:
He hates AMERICA
Camaro this...camaro that..oh boy. He blames the car for basically the end of the world. Never mind the fact that he bases his delusions from opinions and not facts. Gas mileage not good enough..big non-handling car...ugly...oh sorry Mark..we can't all drive a pink Porsche boxter to hang out with the "girls" at a Starbucks
This guy has not even driven or even seen the car in person and he suggests we take some European stand to look for anything good we consider great automotive engineering...sounds elitist to me especially when he must be ignoring the fact that all those spunky little cars out there have put out cumulatively way more smog then the US ever has. Perhaps he should write about the smoke stacks that bellow out way more smog (at least the facts are common knowledge already and he won't be tooting his horn at something he knows nothing about).
The camaro looks to be a great car. If it sells well I am sure it will save lots of American jobs and that is a good thing with today's economy. I suppose Mark will not like this and would rather we spend our monies elsewhere (like in Europe/Asia where we can support the sweat shops down there and bury our American economy even more). Thanks Mark..for a STUPID suggestion. [ April 02, 2009, 01:12 PM: Message edited by: CobramanPhil ]

This is what you get when you have a liberal newspaper talking about an amercan car. Not tryng to start a fight but this kind of talk isn't going to end as long as we have left wing politics running the show.... Thank obama for the "change" in American auto industry.

I've always wondered about this, and all of my cars have been American. But are we really supporting American products and jobs? My truck was built in Mexico....
I think the only car I've owned that was built here is my 1980 trailer trash F250, and it was born in San Jose!

That waist of oxygen needs to deep throat his boyfriends vibrator and choke to death on his own teeth as they break off. I can't stand it when someone talks out of their neck without any facts to support their useless opions. Not everyone wants to ride a bike to work with a seat as a big rubber dick!
