i hear the original 40's are the loudest but flowmaster advertises a few mufflers that say the same shit..jus curious on what the difference is with the super 44, super 40's,the original 40's..whats the loudest and or best sounding flowmaster?..how would the 10 series one chamber sound with tailpipes instead of dumps?

i think i have had all of them.

the best sounding was the 1 chambers on my cobra. i had jba shorties, catted bassani x pipe and dumped 1 chambers. if you keep your foot out of it its not too loud, but once you step on it...

i floored it next to a van and a girl screamed. haha

but all the flows still have the "flowmaster drone" regardless of the series, dumps or tail pipes.

When I had my 02 GT, I loved the 44's that the muffler shop put on. It had a great sound and it wasn't overly loud.

I have had two original 40 series. Next to the new ones, it isn't that loud. I even have an offroad H pipe too. Don't get me wrong, it is loud, but the new one chambers are the loudest. I tried to get those but they were out of stock. As far as sound quality, I like the way mine rumbles with the H pipe.

ran 40s 1 chambers on a stock 02gt sounded sick, running 40s 2chamber with dumps with off road x and shorties on my 95. My fav by far was on a friends 95, shorties with off road X with 1 chambers and dumps

Yeah i gotta say 1chambers are the loudest. I had those with off road h pipe an stock headers. Best soundin mufflers in my opinion. O yeah i had tailpipes

I have one chamber flows on my supercharged 93 GT drop with a bassani x pipe with no cats and bassani headers and 3" tips out the back.Oh yeah they sound really good..

The sound was just plain nasty onevery car I have had. To me the one chambers have a more raspy, beast like sound. But they can be really obnoxious. If your L's are shady, stay clear of those.

thats my old gt. It had an bbk off road h-pipe with 1 chamber flows and dumps. Turn up your speakers and listen to it.
