Vick and Gore in the backfield would be pretty damn sick!

Who cares if he fought dogs.... its just easier to get a good deal on him. I would be happy if the niners could somehow pick him up since they definately need a qb but they're too conservative of a team. Oakland does seem logical and would still be sick [Whoo Whooooo!]

LOL, you said, "(The niners) definatley need a QB." Well I don't know if you know much about Vick, but he has never been a good QB. He is one hell of a scrambler, but as far as throwing the ball, which is a QB's job; HE SUCKS! Just My 2 cents...

Say what you want, but dude is a baller. Him in your backfield gives you a great X-factor. Even is he is a marginal QB as far as arm. His mobility and speed is dangerous as hell. I'd sign him.

Hey, if pacman got 30 or so chances I don't see why Michael Vick can't get another one. It was wrong what he did but he paid his debt to society and he should have the opportunity to make a living.

Vick is very talented but it has been proven time and time again that a running QB does not win in the NFL.
As good as he is, defenses in the NFL can and have adjusted to his style of play and shut him down. I believe he deserves a 2nd chance as we have all made mistakes. I'm not really an animal lover so I can't relate from that aspect.

I wouldn't sign him because he's not a good QB.

when he first got drafted he was not a accurate passer, but as time passed by he started to become better now that all this shit happen hes gonna be rusty. same thing with JERMACUS RUSSELL that fucker has an arm but no accuracy just give him time and a GOOD OL.

I believe people who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Plus he has paid his debt to society, not like some athletes. So a second chance he deserves. Vick has talent that cannot be taught. Everything I believe he can learn if put in a situation where he has to learn. In the ATL they pretty much let him do what ever. Make him learn and be part of a system and if that takes, then you have pretty much have a beast of a quarterback. Something the likes of a Randall Cunningham x20.

Steve Young was a mobile QB and he won a super Bowl. I guess that would make your statement inaccurate..

Vick is a grow ass man. He is very successful & talented with a promising career in the NFL. Take a look at the big picture. Why fight dogs? Why KILL the dogs? He's a fuckin Sociopath & his image is TRASHED... I think if the NFL reinstates his contract allot of people will be shaking their heads.

He was a throw first then run if you need to QB. Plus, S. Young was accurate.

Accuracy I believe is also something you have or you don't. You can become better with time and practice but how much improvement can we expect within a small time frame like his?

Randall Cunningham also played well b/c he was accurate, Vick is looking to run first unless the window of the throw is wide open.
In the NFL almost all throws made are in tight windows, sometimes I'm amazed at the throws that these QB's make.

The NFL is about making money. And Vick's story will make money. Plus his talents are too great to look past (assuming he comes out in shape) for almost any team. Fact of the matter is that he will sell jerseys and fill stands. Over time the PETA people will leave the matter alone and it will fade from sight.

It is unfortunate but that is the way society is. Collective short term memory.

Steve Young has the most rushing yards of ANY QB to ever play in the NFL... With that being said, If you can get Vick for the league minimum or close to it why not take a chance. He would be a bargain! Hell, if tony Romo and JT Sullivan can start in the NFL I see no reason why Vick cant ATLEAST be a backup at some position

Vick is a starter in the league. He may play the background until things die down. But he is a star caliber player. I still believe once put in a system that is systematic like a well oiled machine. He can learn to extend the pocket. I doubt he will ever be a pocket QB. But if he extends the pocket ala-Roethlisberger, you will have to respect his speed and quickness. Thus becoming a nightmare for teams. Shit with a good RB they could run the old-school option all-day like Nebraska used to do with Tommie Frasier

And you vick haters should remember that as a qb, he probably won 75 percent of his games, and if i remember he did get them deep in the playoffs 1 year. GO VICK>

We don't need Vic and should not sign him unless he is real cheap. We have commited to JR as our leading QB and future and this year espeically is a make it or break it season for JR. He needs to play to prove himself and show us that he is the person we made him out to be. Picking up Vick is a punch to the gut more than a reality check because it's a sign that we will replace him. I say this because I don't think Vick is a backup QB.

On top of that we need consistancy and build chemistry with the same players and coach to develop relationships and regualarity. Throwing in a high profile guy with all the media hoopla like Vick is the last thing we need.

I know Vic can be a starting QB but we have had too many experienments blow up in our face in the past 5 years. Last year we had a 2xx million dollar experiement that went nowhere.

Vic can be a starting QB just not here. It could be a different story next year if JR stinks up the joint. But, we just don't throw away the #1 overall pick without giving him a chance to develop.

Your going to compare O'sulllivan to Romo???

Romo for your information has been one of the top rated passers and in number of TD's thrown only behind Manning, Brady and Brees.
Where the hell do you draw a comparison to o'sullivan?

In being a Dallas fan, you would think I would be unhappy with his performance of late, but I see the real problem in the O-line and other distractions.
I can tell you this much- I wouldn't want Vick on my squad. And I'm not a Vick hater, I just wouldn't want him as my QB (if Jerry Jones signs him he can play special teams [Wink]

To win, you need a QB that can THROW TOUCHDOWNS!

If Romo is soooo good. Then why has he not one a single playoff game up to this point? Basically he is like an A-Rod of football. He dissapears in the postseason. I would take Vick over Romo. I'm pretty sure Vick has gone further in the playoffs then Romo has and Vick did it with less weapons..

p.s comparing Romo to o sullivan is a bit of a stretch LOL.

Romo is still young and just finished his 2nd full season. Did you know it took the GREAT Peyton Manning 8 seasons before he won his first playoff game and thus far only Super Bowl?

Yes the Cowboys have a lot of weapons, but I think it was obvious when Romo went down this year how important he is. He's been the best thing thats happened to the Cowboys since the big 3 left.
He ain't going anywhere, and quit lying!
You know you would take Romo over Vick! LOL!!!

who cares what the fool did id want him on the niners. if vick wins all will be forgiven.

romo is a really good human being and vick is scum for what he did but i would still take vick over romo. romo with more weapons could not get it done and vick with less weapons got his team to the playoffs and deep in the playoffs. he even beat farve in green bay in the play offs. thats something romo could never pull off with all the talent they have on thier team.

the sad thing is that if vick was a coyboy he would have had jery jones bail him out and keep him in the leage and keep him outa jail instead the falcons just bailed on him and did not participate in his defence at all. in that case the coyboys are the best team to play for in the nfl. cuz no mater what you pull the team has always got your back.

ill be the first in line to buy a mike vick niner jersey.

plus i want vick back in the leage becuase i miss using him in madden.

Saw on the news tonight that Niners have no interest in signing Vick. Guess they received numerous calls after Singletary's comment stating they wouldn't rule out Vick as a possibility.

That's shitty oh well another year of disappointment ahead for niner fans [Mad]
