Sorry i did not mean to offend any one just another topic. And N8 you know there is nothing but respect. I was just putting it up. This is great. I have been wondering about why Whites are racists, and no other race is.....

Michael Richards makes his point.....................Michael Richards better known as Kramer from TVs Seinfeld does make a good point.


This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act.. He makes some very interesting points...


Someone finally said it... How many are actually paying attention to this? There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, AsianAmericans, Arab Americans, etc.

And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me 'White boy,' 'Cracker,' 'Honkey,' 'Whitey,' 'Caveman'... and that's OK.


But when I c all you, Nigger, Kike, Towel head, Sand-nigger, Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink .. You call me a racist.


You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you... so why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?


You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King Day.


You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day.


You have Yom Hashoah. You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi.


You have the NAACP. You have BET... If we had WET (White Entertainment20Television), we'd be racists. If we had a White Pride Day, you would c all us racists.


If we had White History Month, we'd be racists.


If we had any organization for only whites to 'advance' OUR, lives we'd be racists.


We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that??


A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.


If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships ...You know we'd be racists.


There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if there were 'White colleges' That would be a racist college.


In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists.


You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.


You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.


I am proud... But you call me a racist.

There is nothing improper about this e-mail. Let's see which of you are proud enough to send it on. I sadly don't think many will. That's why we have lost most of OUR RIGHTS in this country. We won't stand up for ourselves!

This is a retarded topic and never amounts to much but fighting. All I can say is we will only agree to disagree. All I ask, is if and when I meet any of you guys, do not think its cool to call me out of my name of some slur just because you heard a comedian do it. And likewise I will extend the same gratuity.

Dammit I should leave this topic alone but I cant...lol.

All I can say, is if you are not black you will not understand nor would I wish that upon you. It is a trip to be so often mocked then with the same breath be so sought after and copied.

Kramer can feel this way and it may be justified. But it is more ignorance than a good point. Dont forget we are not far from where white folks had their own TV channels, water fountains, public schools, seats on the bus, neighbor hoods. Plus white people are the ones that coined the word "Nigger" to disparage and put down us "Americans" of slightly different color. So now that we have managed to turn it into a word that is accepted (with a spelling adjustment) as a term of endearment towards each other. Now you wanna use it? Soon as it rolled off his tongue it took us back 400 years. Now I am not saying it is okay for me to go around calling races out by slur. But this particular one has a extra sting to it. I mean if you do not understand that something is wrong with you. But it is a age old question and if you are not black you will never get a answer you will feel comfortable with.

Disclaimer:
Be proud of who you are. but also b mindful of a another person's heritage and journey. I love being black and would have it no other way. But part of my heritage is shrouded in a cloud of slavery. As the Jews would be clouded in shroud created by the holocaust so dont make Jew jokes especially if you are german. Certain areas were part of ethnic cleansing. So you would need to be sensitive about that. To me its as simple as having human decency and tact. If you don't have any of those then you ask questions like this. Or should I say don't like/understand the answers you get.

N8 you just can not read something and leave it there lol....I read your post before you edited it and thought good response

N8 you have to deal with the fact that you can not understand what it is like being white in Todays USA. Not the one of 200 years ago like you like to bring up alot, I read the first post and had to laugh because alot of what was said was right on the money as far as I am concerned.

I thought the reaction that Kramer gave in his act(what he got in trouble for ) was shame full.

I am proud to be a American, the difference between us is I never think of my color when I say that or add a disclaimer to it...

ok so what if the person who said this was annonmus* would u look at this in a different way. looks to be ur singling ur own race out by who was mention that said this in court. it cleary states other races. I can honestly say i feel as i'm becoming the minority.
when u fill out an job app why do we have to put race? I am no racist myself i probably have more friends of different ethnics than my own. i would say 80% are others. s here is it again with no names mentioned of who said it lok at it in another prospective maybe you'll get the picture its trying to paint.

i agree 200 percent. anybody see the naacp awards the other night? imagine the white version of that. it would be racist its ridiculous. i dont car what color you are i have all types of friends. black, white, asian, hispanic. we joke about our races all the time and have fun with it.

Well the connotation of something being purely white is tainted by the past. No way around it. Because slavery happened. It is a side effect that has nothing to do with us, yet has everything to do with us. It is the epitome of irony. For years everything was purely white. So the thought of something being for whites only instantly conjures visions of the "Old South". Yet along the same lines, something like BET is viewed as advancement. Because African Americans were so severely oppressed. I mean it does not take a math degree to understand that. It tickles me when people ask these question yet struggle to understand the pure reality of what they are asking. Then the first thing they say is "well I never owned a slave". To me that is insensitive and ignorant. But to each his own. Kramer called a person a "Nigger" not as part of his show. Not as part of a joke. Not as part of a punchline. But out of anger and spite. Thus IMO he meant it. And would have handed him his head had he done that to me in public or on the streets. And if you cannot understand that, you should never ask these type of questions, because you alreasy have your mind made up and dont even know it.

2Stangs, yea I know I should really shut up. I just cant....lol. But to make a point on my behalf. I dont care what color, religion, sexual preference and MAC/PC preference. You respect me, I respect you. If we all lived like that we would have no issues.

Racism will never end, even if we learn from our mistakes in the past. Every race feels racism and that is what creates it more. You get treated bad by a certain race and you start hating that race or theres the other type or racist the dumb one that can't think for themselves and listen to what the racist that was treated bad says and believes that is how they will be treated as well.
I am proud to be white as every race should feel proud of who they are.

i think the point was proven and painting the White House any color wouldn't stop racism.
There is no way to stop racism, the only way for that to happen is if all the hateful things people do to each other stopped which is impossible. A person of one race is killing another person of another race somewhere which will either make the family of the victim become racist or the victims children will become racist and a new generation of racism will be born.
