i thought the same when i picked up a 88 gt however the damaged panel is one of the worst areas (most exdpensive)on a car to work on ask a body shop for a quote 1st

That looks like an expensive fix. I think it would need a new 1/4 panel, rear bumper, side skirt, side scoop, & thats just parts. Then it would need the 1/4 to be cut out & welded up, then paint, & who knows how that rear frame rail looks from that impact.... That could easily end up being a 20K Cobra after all that work & u can get a clean 1 for that price.... Not worth it IMO...
