yes, I agree. But I was trippin' looking at the sign below 2.00 a gallon. I wouldn't pump gas at one of those no name gas stations.
just the fact that we were paying almost 5.00 a gallon. and now look at what we are paying. this is weird.

You HAVE to get a car wash ($5, $8.50) to get that price or pay the normal $2.22.

2.49 for diesel in Antelope Arco, elverta and welegra. I think at Flag city stockton flying J was 1.77 for reg gas. Saw in Delhi 2.47 for diesel. I filled up at safeway with credits came out to 2.19 for diesel. A lot of the Joe's travel centers are around 2.52 for diesel and 1.79 for regular.

I think they'll go up, they always do in spring. Honestly I didn't think they'll go down this far, and they're set to go down even further in Dec. This is almost pre bush, pre war levels. I'm guessing a winter price average of around $1.50 for the bay and a summer price of 2 bucks. What do you guys think?

$1.79 here in El Dorado Hills.
As for gas prices staying down, it really depends on what oil prices do and oil prices will stay low as long as the economy is in rough shape and demand is low.
That being said, I think we're looking at a significant rebound in the markets early next year. The markets have just put in their biggest 5 day gains since 1932. Still, there is a lot of uncertainty out there that hasn't been priced in yet. Everyone knows that unemployment numbers are rising, but we'll know the fate of the Big 3 within a couple weeks here. If retail sales come back better than expected (which I think they might with people saving bucks on gas) and the government helps out the auto manufacturers (if they come back with a solid plan), then I think the stock market and the economy will snap out of it somewhere between late January and the end of March.
When the economy makes its way back, oil prices will rise some, especially since OPEC has cut production by 2 million barrels a day to try and halt the fall. I still think that oil will trade somewhere between $50 and $60 for most of 2009. Long story short, gas prices will probably stay in the high $1 to low $2 range for at least a year and maybe longer.

well it was just announced that we are in a recession and have been since 2007. So you can look for gas prices to maintain a lower average for a while.
1.59 in Stankonia.
