Some weeks ago maybe month or two now the crackheads that lived in the house accross the street were thrown out and some arrested. The house just listed over the weekend so I was able to get inside to take a look around.

OMFG! All interior doors are trashed every wall fucked up, stains on the celings, floors, walls. Kitchen sick gone, water heater gone, walls ripped open and all wiring stollen, bathroom vanities stollen, all light fixtures stollen, GARBAGE covers every inch of the interior and exterior (backyard) of the house. Live in trailer in the backyard (thrashed) 4 of the windows smashed, kitchen thrashed, dirty clothes everywhere, crack soot on celings, broken dressers, stained mattresses, broken yard tools, broken treadmill, smell of death and skunk mixed together. Pulldown ladder to atic ripped out and in the kitchen, all wiring in the garage ripped out and gone.

Entire house is a loss and the bank is asking $311,900!!!! hahahahaha fuckin crazy. You can't even finance a house that has no kitchen sink. A contractor will need to pick this up. There is no way a DIY'er can hack this shit.

It does have nice hardwood floors, newer roof and has a little curb apeal if the yard wasnt' dead. Otherwise this shit needs to be burned to the ground and started over.

If you know anyone that wants to try and flip this house lemme know. I'll send you the info. Get some decent living people in there.

Jdub...where's this house located? The price is definitely high for what you just mentioned, but if its in a decent location, the house can be fixed...

Please send me info... [patriot]

Sounds like a real gem, I'd be all over it for that price. [Roll Eyes] I think the real crackheads are the bank.

Depending on where it is located someone will buy it for the lot, knock the house down, and build a new one.

You would be surprised what kinda shit sells for just that reason.

Was the house gutted from the police? I figure if it were a crack house they would have to look everywhere (including inside of the walls) to collect as much evidence as possible and to make sure nothing illegal was left behind....

might be why there are so many holes in the bedroom walls but as far as making sure there is zero illegal shit there....that would be imposible. There are piles of trash and personal belongings everywhere. Yesterday some guys were over there cleaning it out a little. I e-mail the bank that has it for sale too. Telling them they might want to look at the asking price again and asked if they even know the real condition of the house. There is a forclosure in Newark all done...move in condition hella nice in a pretty nice area for just 15k more than this fucked off house. Where they get $311k from I have no idea.

I talked to another guy that looked at the house and he offered $250,000 to the bank and the bank said no LOL. Said they are expecting mutiple offers. HAHAHAHA The house needs at least VERY least 100k put into it

Not worth the money. I would buy it for $200k if they were lucky. No offense Jdub but also not appealed by Newark.

it sounds like its mostly superficial damage from what you describe. u really think its going to cost over a 100k to fix it to be liveable or on par with whats in the neighborhood taking into consideration the size of the house being a bit over 1k sqft?
the asking price does sound steep however given that houses in that area are selling for about $380k. for a $70k delta from what theyre asking, it doesnt sound like its worth the hassle of fixing up.

i think a big part of the pricing is that the house was recently purchased earlier this year for 435k and is probably a foreclosure or short sale, where the bank will fish for bidders and will drop the price if the house doesnt move in a few weeks. obviously theyre trying minimize the losses but eventually reality will sink in for these banks that like to hold out.

I bet it cost more than 100k to fix up considering the hazmat mitigation and disposal fees that will be levied. You will have to rip out all the sheetrock to rewire the place and all that sheetrock will have to be disposed of by a specialist.

I wasn't one for Newark either and we were looking to buy in Fremont but the house we found meets all our needs and then some. Ours was turn key, put your shit down and start livin. I'm still not the biggest fan of Newark but I live there now and take pride in our neighborhood and small city. And who you are seriously is what makes where you live.

The street is hella quiet and we have two guys on our block that walk the neighboring blocks everynight. Of the 7 housed in our little court 6 of them have someone home everyday. This one fucked up house truley brought the area down so getting it fixed up with with good people will be the topping on the cake.

I will admit we would not have bought our house if we saw the poeple accross the street, but we were told the house was in forclosure and never saw anyone during the multiple times we viewed our place. So we purchased.

Yesterday there were more guys gutting the whole house and it is amazing how much better a place looks when you can see it. So either the bank hired them or someone bought it. I didn't talk to the guys cleaning it cause the last thing I'd want if I was them were some nosey fucks coming over when I'm hauling other people waste around. So we'll see how it rolls. But one thing that is nice is whatever happends over there next will be 100 times better than what was there. [patriot] [patriot]

I like how you think Jdub [patriot]

We bought a fixer upper (5br 2700 sq ft for 270k) and we wanted something in a quiet neighborhood by parks, schools, malls and such for the kids. We also went the established neighborhood route. All of our neighbors are hella old and have been in their houses for 40+ years. Anyway, we could have moved somewhere else for more bragging rights but I am proud of our situation and neighborhood (even tho the bastards call the po po on me for my cars).

I would be ticked off if a meth lab or crack house popped up on my street to. I like the way you handled that situation.

Went home for lunch today. There is a sale sign in the yard and they hauled tons of more shit away, did the yards sorta....yards are dead so the best they could do was trim it up and pull weeds. Looks better, not as bad as you'd think. Still no where near $311. They were still filling trucks full of garbage and broken furnature when I came back to work.

Things I know the house needs:
water heater
kitchen sink
ALL new drywall in house some celing drywall too
new bathroom vanities, toilets I heard are fucked too and showers
Heard some copper piping under the house is also gone
Rewire the house and garage
At least 3 to 4 windows of the house are smashed need replaced
Kitchen counters and floor
New interior doors ALL of them
Furnace is gone too, blower gone
All new lighting fixures throughout the house

Not too bad....someone buy this diamond in the rough!!! lmao Structural integrity of the house seems fine.

Yup I was talking to him last night, he's hella funny! He has the three wheel motorcycle with gumbie on the back and drives a ford ranger that gets to park under the canapee. He has lived there since those houses have been built and said they cost $4,500 new back then. LOL. I really hope a contractor picks up the house. They will be able to do more work on it for less money.
