Well I've driven my car from Sac to Antioch twice & these Thrush 2 chamber mufflers we just put in are waaay too loud! What's the quietest 3" muffler I can go with to match with the BBK 1 3/4" longtubes & 3" Dr.Gas X-pipe?

Current set up:

Too bad coz these Thrush mufflers tucked in really nice!

Having dumps is going to make it loud regardless of what mufflers are on it.

A quick search on Summit got me:

Something 3-chamber would be better, or go with tailpipes.

Cool! I know the original Magnaflows are quiet already comparing to everything else, but I never knew they made a "chamber" style as well! Must be something new. I'll look into those. Pretty cheap too for stainless steel & Magnaflow quality! I wonder if they're quieter than their original design?

I think the only 3" tail pipes that fit/clear right are the Flowmaster's. A little pricy tho. I'm gonna try some quiet mufflers on & see 1st. Just hate sittin at the light with this thing idleing so loud

do the 3 inch tailpipes and you will be surprised at how much quieter it becomes.

3" pipes with dynomax super turbo mufflers = win.

i have these on my car, there nice and quiet but still sound good. and it you want em loud you just undo three wingnuts [dance] if your around concord/p.hill i could let you hear em. My cars down right now cause it needs a tranny but i can still start it...

A friend of mine had a set of these and they sounded horrid, or so I thought. I'd go with a Borla XR-1 or Bassani muffler, they give you a great sound without the chambered muffler drone. Summit also has these , not stainless like the other brands I mentioned but still seems like a good quality muffler for the price. web page
