I saw a Shelby GT500 today in Auburn, it was on the back of a car trailer with about 6 other Ford vehicles. Probably going to Auburn Ford. It was Red with white racing stripes.

I drove a GT500 this past weekend. My uncle's friend just picked one up in LA and he offered to let me drive it...so I did!

Pure BAD ASS...almost made me shit my pants [burnout]

Drove my boss' '08 Shelby GT500 yesterday. Nice car...well any new car you drive seems automatically nicer. The car seems like a solid low 12 second car off of the showroom floor. Kind of mushy suspension, but that has been the case with all cobras (93+ and on). Still it does handle pretty half decent without much dive when pushing it into a turn (depends on if you know what your doing with the brakes). I do believe a pulley, tune, and perhaps a cat-back is all you will need for these cars (if keeping the stock blower).

This guy had to be stock, I just gave my car a quick blip and he was about a car and a half before i let off. Went from about 70-110. They do look bad ass coming up in a rearview mirror.

There's a used GT500 at the Mercedes dealership in Walnut Creek if anyone wants to check it out. It's red w/white stripes. It was there two days ago. I imagine it's probably still there.

I have driven both. My 2.6 pullied 03 felt about the same as the stock Gt500. The 03 is 300# lighter, but the overall feel & drive ability of the GT500 is better IMO. I have owned a dozen Mustangs from 65-07, they are all cool in their own ways, but hands down I would take the new GT500 over the rest.
