I see em here at WalMart for $27.88 for the 22oz. Arctic Freeze & $19.84 for the 18oz. EZ Chill. Looks pretty easy to do according to instructions. Do these things work? Opinions??

when i worked at kragen i sold those things by the box..a few shops seemed to like them...but ive never personally used it..

I drained the system in my Bimmer and refilled it with the Arctic Freeze. It works great, runs colder than it did before and the guy had just taken it to a shop for a recharge a month earlier.

I've used it once where it worked and once where it didn't.
On some of the newer AC systems, there's a low pressure cut off which won't engage the clutch if the line pressure is too low. The system won't draw the refrigerant out of the can if the clutch doesn't engage. In that case, you need to take it to a shop so they can draw a vacuum on the system to recharge it.
If your system is just a little low and the clutch will still engage, then yes, those cans work great.

Did it work once then quit? If everything is in place and all your fuses are good I'd give it a try. Its simple to use and doesn't cost too much.
