Evans will get knocked out in the 1st... [Wink]

I think Evans is kinda like Tito with a little better striking and harder to hit, but I definitely have Liddell taking him out.

ko by the iceman in the 2nd.
evans is a up and coming prospect but hasnt really looked good in the big fight. his fight against tito was a snoozefest where the only reason he didnt lose was due to a technicality.
okay..he knocked out lambert and salmon but where are they today?

One of the best fights I've ever seen was Wanderlei Silva vs. Liddel. Man Silva can take a punch. You guys see that 1?

I'm rooting for Rashad, always liked him.

Ya, I saw that, man Wanderlei took it like a man. I'm hoping there would be a rematch. I going for the Ice Man on this one.

Dizzamn..!!..
He was put to sleep. I am talking zzzZZZzzz. But yea someone link the fight. I would like to see it. That is kinda reminiscent of the Jones v Tarver fight. Tarver's punch was just a wee bit early and crisper. Looks like Evans punch was too.. [worship]

I was afraid of the worst and it happened.....Chuck's time is over.... [Frown]

imo, chuck's career is far from over..he just came back from beating wanderlei decisively and everyone was saying he's back on track for a title shot again with a win over rashad. this is a setback for him but he'll definitely be back. the best fighters fall with exception to fedor but eventually come back up.
if chuck was outclassed and dominated the whole fight id be more inclined to say his career is on a decline but dude just got caught which happens to the best of them.

remember when randy got handed his 2nd loss to chuck and everyone was on the bandwagon saying his shit was over and just after a couple wins he's on top of the world again. the crazy thing about mma unlike boxing there are far more ups and downs but just with a few wins you're back up there for a title shot...the opposite can also be said with a big loss where we are quick to say the dude's career is over.

How many of the last fights has Chuck won?...

Rampage = lost (for the second time)
Jardine = lost
Silva = won
Evans = lost

.......Maybe I'm pissed off for losing a bet and the fact that I really wanted Chuck to win.. But, there are sooo many 205lb fighters for Chuck to come back its gonna be a while....Evans knocked chuck the fuck out too...Thats gonna be in Chucks head for a while...Just like with his last fight against Rampage, he looked scared of Rampage....

Vendalei would beat the shit outta Rashad, but I think Rashad could beat Griffin....

Ah, I guess thats what makes UFC cool...

I think He'll get a couple more win, but as far as getting the title back, we'll have to see if he wins first, but I think if rashad was to face Wanderlei or Rampage next, I'd do one of those 2, like BlackNGold said.

I hope to see one of this LHW matches next:

W Silva vs Evans
W Silva vs Rampage(again)
Evans vs Rampage

whoever wins get a title shot

Chuck careers is not exactly over per say but, people are gonna have the blueprint on how to beat him. All you have to do is use lots of lateral movement on him and wait for him to drop his hands. Chuck has a glass jaw and I expect him to get K.oed by anyone who has fast hands and decent power. at 38 years old his time is just about up. He should retire soon or else he will just be a stepping stone for up and coming light heavyweights.

aaahh. the last 3 out of 4 fights have been lost due to Liddell being irritated during the fight and tried to impose his will.

Evans trains with Jardine who also beat Chuck by outscoring him...

I believe if chuck wants to come back and win some fights, he's going to have to re think his strategy for every fight - because he's just fighting a 1 dimensional fight...

his only win his past 4 fights was against Wanderlei and he did a good job mixing it up (take downs,leg kicks)

but you ddint see any of that against Evans

Evans was definately the faster fighter, you saw the replay - they threw their right hands at the same time but Evans connected about 1 fist earlier than Liddells would've

hats off to evans for knocking the iceman out rediculously cold in devastating fashion [patriot]

he did not lose the last 3 of the 4 fights by being irritated.. he lost to jardine cause he took chuck out of his game plan with all the kicks and he lost to both rampage and evans because he drops his hands and keeps his chin up.. 2 of the basic things you first learn when training.. against rampage he threw a left body shot with no jab to set it up.. knocked out. against evans he threw a right uppercut and dropped his left hand AGAIN with his chin up AGAIN.. knocked out again.. he was able to fire down the middle on wanderlie who throws his wild punches.. chuck needs to wrestle more and throw his kicks which he can do

Posted by NOTCHBACKFIDDY (Member # 8504) on :

by taking Chuck out of his game plan - he gets irritated...

then he starts trying to push the fight, not being patient

then he gets caught with his hand down

Posted by 89point. (Member # 6078) on :

every fight he has been in he has his hands down even if he is winning.. and he is always pushing forward he does a good job of cutting the ring off or should i say the cage off.. dont get me wrong he can hit going back too but most the time he is pushing forward.. he is just being 2 one dimensional and expecting to land that hard shot in every fight and its not going to happen.

Posted by At1Maverick69 (Member # 6177) on :

You said it 89point, as a MA practitioner too, I know better to NOT to drop your hand down like that, cuz you will be caught, it's ust a matter of time specially in MMA. I guess you get stubborn when you get a bit of success looping your hands like Chuck does

Posted by CobramanPhil (Member # 2170) on :

That's what I love about the UFC. It doesn't matter what your record is or how good of a fighter you are. If fight day comes along and your careless (in this case Liddel's bad habit of trying to box with his left carried too low to block punches) you are going to get knocked the hell out! I think a lot of fighters have figured this out with Liddel and if your half decent with your standup then you could exploit this.

Posted by 89point. (Member # 6078) on :

exactly you drop your hands with as much power and speed as a lot of these guys have its lights out.. these arent 16oz gloves they are 6oz or whatever, i mean even in boxing with the 16s you keep your hands down its bad news.. and liddel has just done it so many times and gotten away with it that he put himself into that bad habbit.

Chuck: "not going to let him eek out a win"

I was laughing when he said that shit during the pre fight interviews lol. Just because Sugar doesn't have 80% of his wins by KO doesn't mean shit. Any knowledged fighter would understand that.

Chuck is so unsure of himself I almost feel sorry for him. Should have rubbed his nipples before the fight.

The uppercut he tried the throw wasn't even close and hit Sugar in the armpit. Wasn't a matter of throwing faster, he wasn't even on target. Chuck is washed up. Joe RoGAIN was even saying (in an admiring way) circle, circle, throw bomb. WTF kind of mma is that? The comintaters were cockjocking chuck every second until he was knocked out. GAY! I was confident chuck was going to lose...but I didn't think he'd be put to sleep that hard.

BEST PART OF THE WHOLE FIGHT:
Sugar just walks away. No huge showboating, yelling, screaming, jumping up on the cage or bullshit like that. Everytime chuck would win by KO he does that gay ass monkey scream. If you are THAT good then you knock the fucker out and walk away calm cool and collected cause you know you're the shit. You act all crazy and manik then to me it shows your more surprised you won than the fans are. That was my favorite part anyway. Strait "whatever" reaction. hahahaahah classic.

They were riding Liddell's dick cause he was their "golden boy". Chuck is 38 years old and is not getting any younger. He is to one dimensional and at this point in his career I do not think he will develop a ground game or very many "new tricks" Getting KOed like that has to mess with him psycologically(sp) and will play a role in his performance in his upcoming fights. I do kinda wonder if his jaw was brocken though. That had to hurt! [Eek!]
