Most gunshops have used guns, but not much selection.

yeah, they still do sell used guns. for the price of there used guns, for 60 bucks moere, you can get a new one. i have a glock 22 (40cal.) with night sights with a 3lb trigger pull and they said they can give me $200 for it because it has more then 1k rounds. they thought i must have been some type of crackhead. your probably not going to get a great deal on a used gun from a dealer.

I would look into certified pre-owned guns if you already know what you want. Those guns have already been torn down inspected and repaired/replaced parts as determined by the factory.

My friend got a used Glock 30 with 2 mags, case, etc for $400 at a gun show.

Considering I got quoted for a brand new one for $655 that difference is considerable..

pawn shop

The problem with the pawnshops is they've got some law regarding (I think) a "drop test" law, which makes most of the older pistols only available to law enforcement. I used to hit a place in Marysville, but they stopped selling weapons. None of the local shops here have any, either.
It's all very sad.
