Tinner, what's the specs on your drag setup? That's the route I want to go for sure!

Posted by Tinner (Member # 2688) on :

Fronts wheels are 15x4 w/ a 26x7 1/2 MT front runner and the rear wheels are 15x10 w/a 6 1/2" back space and a 26x10 MT ET Drag tire

It's hard for anyone to follow Epik, only a car magazine can challenge him on Pic Whoring. [Big Grin]

Your right...FR500's are very played out. I wish I could get something else, but my taste is too expensive. I think my car looks great with them, but I am tired of them. If I could afford them, I would get some CCW's or Forgelines. I did buy mine a few years ago, before the Fr500 hype began....

Posted by its50 (Member # 4069) on :

your shit looks dope though.i still might get em...ccw is what i ment.lol

Posted by EPIK (Member # 7481) on :

Thanks...So what color mach did you get Dark Shadow Gray...DSG is a nice color & its the only metallic paint available on machs....

I think i can find a pic of a dsg mach with 10th anniversary wheels, someone on Mach1registry.com has that combo & it looks nice...

Here ya go...Looks good, just needs to be lowered...

its50, I seen a s/c on a mach pushing about 460rwhp on the dyno. good numbers. some buddies i know work at nextgen in hayward,ca they specialize in modular motors. ive seen alot of good running modular cars from there pushing good numbers and at the track. and theres AED as well. both sick ass shops.

Cam(s) swap is ALOT more expensive & tedious on a mod motor compared to a pushrod motor. I would stay away from a cam swap & concentrate on exhaust, CAI, intake spacer, & a tune 1st.

My car put down 315rwhp & 327rwtq with just LT's, O/R H, catback, C&L mass air, 3/8" intake spacer, & an SCT Xcal2 dyno tune.... Stock is around 275 rwhp & 290 rwtq....

No prob...Glad you asked because IMO suspension is a majorly overlooked mod by most but its the 1st mod I always do when I get a Stang....

My suspension setup is....

-Maximum Motorsports K member, A arms, Bumpsteer kit, Front coilovers, caster/camber plates, full length subframe connectors, panhard bar, adjustable lower control arms, & cut stock rear springs......1 day i will finally get around to getting my MM torque arm installed too.

If you want a similar look & good handling for alot cheaper, I recommend H&R super sports, bilsteins, MM adjustable LCA's, & CC plates....

i have been in a few stangs and every since then i can feel the difference when cornering at a higher speed.eddie 510 had a vert that would get in the corners real good pluse he got hands behinde the wheel.and joco/merlo got the saleen wit the mm and that thing just hugs.i never really thought of suspension as a big part untill then.

Posted by its50 (Member # 4069) on :

how much lower is your car then the stock height epik?im not a big fan of super lowered cars i just want a real agressive stance and some of the gap space taken up.

Posted by EPIK (Member # 7481) on :

My car is probably about 2 1/2" lower than stock. It would handle better if I raised it up about 1", but I love the killer stance...It pretty much makes my car....

I couldnt agree with you more man, i was really dissapointed at sac, i was spinning every gear (street tires)...theres no point of having power if you cant hook up hahaha....I really changed my priorities now and am looking for some l.c.a's and im probably going to change my springs to the H&R ss's..
