how much do they usually charged? My bro just had his recharged(at a small shop), they charged him $85 to do it. But that included the dye to find the leak.

why don't you do it yourself, the kits are like $30 at most auto stores.

My bro tried that kit and it didn't work.. he filled the system to 35 psi. The AC still didn't work, he went to the AC place and their gauges showed empty. thus the reason the compressor would not turn on. A waste of $25 bucks!

could it be that he had a leak, therefore the loss of freon?
