Just make sure that you don't get a sport bike. I still am not getting the 35mpg that it showed on when I bought my 07 cbr 600. And it is fricken hot outside riding on my bike. I decided to buy a 4 banger. I bought my 2000 crv. I didn't think about the fact that it is AWD and that the gas mileage isn't that great on it. Can't win for shit. Maybe I will start riding my mountain bike everywhere.

get a fuel efficient vehicle. when i was dailying the mustang, i was paying $40 for gas every two days, and that was this time LAST YEAR!!!
i now have a NEW car, a ton of camera gear, a nice bicycle, i JUST ordered full coilovers for my car,and im about to order a 47" TV. gas mileage REALLY makes a difference.

They only exploded for the people who drove them like race cars expecting the tires to hold up to hard turns and fast driving.
I found one in the color i want for a good price, if i get one i could take a more direct route to work, the Jeep is kind of a pain to drive right now. [Frown]

Do you drive all your cars still? i am having trouble justifying buying another vehicle when i already have 3.

Wait until summer, when that whale washes up shore, that fatcory shutdown because of a fire and then of course that special forumula they have to use for summer.

I only spend about $44 a week driving from OC to LA everyday!! Saturns are the best [Cool]

You absolutely can't be serious?

Do you have any clue what gas mileage those huge cars get with that 4.0 V6 and an auto???

Worse than your sn95...

yeah i was reading last night that if my GT was stock i would be getting better gas mileage than an explorer. I am going to go look at an explorer in an hour or so. Not sure if i am going to buy it or not.

DD' ing the 95 sucks right now...Im spending about $65 a week right now....

Damn I miss the gas mileage I was getting last year in my old 86 jetta, but I sold that to purchase the 95. My dad is gonna give me his old 84 Rabbit GTI, so i will soon be DD'ing an underbucket too...The downside is, it has no AC, but oh well I only drive 15 miles to work so i will stick it out....

All those people who tried to save money by moving out to the boonies and commuting are now paying up for their choice. My place is a shack for what I could have bought somewhere else, but the 2 mile commute is worth it, especially now.

well 3 of them are classics that live in the garage and only come out on the weekends...the ford truck will most likely not see too much road time. The dodge will just eat my wifes pocket book up..lol...

I stopped daily driving V8's about 3 years ago.

I am currently driving a 96 2.3L 5 speed pickup with AC. It gets about 25mpg consistently.

My 93 and my 94GT got about 18mpg average (spare me the stories about your 5.0 gettine 25mpg on a recent roadtrip because it doesn't apply considering 50% of my driving is city. My truck gets 30mpg highway if we are talking no city driving)

my 93 fox sleeps all week because of the gas prices. thats cool cause i drive a 2001 saturn L300 daily to work. $50 a week to fill up and i get @ 300-340 miles out of it. not bad for a 3.0L V-6. plus, the a/c blows super cold and i have a sunroof on standby. [Big Grin]

them prices are a big reason why i chose to commute on caltarin fulltime to santa clara(90miles round trip).
$150 for a monthly pass
vs
1800 miles commuting a month = $300 in gas a month(24mpg @$4/gallon)

on a side note: 24mpg aint too bad for a 255hp sedan that will smoke many foxes.LOL

$200/week [Smile]
But thats commuting from sac to bay, and I get paid mileage, AND i'm in an integra. So I guess I can't bitch hehe

I am one of those, but I will take a 2k mortgage for a 2500+ sq ft 5 bdrm home and drive my lil 4 cyl beater rather than move back to the Bay. I spend about 80 bucks a week for gas, which does suck. But I wont move back to the bay eva!!!!

If this sounds good to ya , go for it. I'm daily driving my 2000 explorer 4.0v6 4WD with 68k mi. costs me 80 bucks to fill it and im lucky if i reach 300 mi. to the tank. (usually 280ish) Not as bad as some i'm sure but not that good either

Posted by solbrothers (Member # 7524) on :

just an FYI, but it isn't about the RPM/SPEED of the vehicle. it's about the throttle position
