Interesting read and comments on Jalopnik

Is the Mustang relevant or exciting? Is it a great American sports car? Or is it just a heavy American car? Are those worshiping in the Mustang Church of America pursuing a false idol? Do we care anymore? Is the WRX the new Mustang or is the new Mustang also the old Mustang?

I don't understand, are they questioning relevance or excitement? Because, relevance does not equal excitement.

The author answers their own question on relevance though. The fact that Chevy & Dodge are coming out with competing products proves that the Mustang is relevant in the market.

they fact that everyone is comparing everything to a mustang. shows that it still is relevant. the wrx/evo's are just the next big thing.. there will still be mustangs long after those other have come and gone. look at chevy. they dumped the crapmaro & fireturds. just to bring the crapmaro back to have a car compete with the mustang again. For me, something else might come along that will be more powerful, more agile and more sporty, but the Mustang will always be the benchmark that they all will have to be measured by. 'Nuff said.

Doesnt matter if the Challanger's & Camaro's have more power than the current stang. they are more expensive, weigh 4000lbs & have IRS... [Confused]

The new Evos & WRX's are uglier than shit!!!
