Not sure of the going rate, but a buddy of mine took a few stock intake manifolds, stock exhaust piping, and a few aluminum wheels and radiators and got $100. I never thought it'd be that much for scrap. It was some place on Kiefer Blvd, between Watt and Florin Perkins

If you're in Sac, call up schnitzer steel or sims metal and get quotes per lb for whatever type of metal you want to scrap. unless you have enough, you're gonna use whatever you earn by scrapping it just to pay for gas to and from rancho.

keep in mind that im not the only person scraping materal, there are three other guys to. i cut on a band saw for the most part and i cut the biggest peices of metal the company has and thats a 16 inch rod,a solid rod thats 144 inches long.also the scrap bin im talking about is dumpster size and theres like a week of my scrapings and the three other dudes as well.we also scrap the metal shaving and chips.this was just a lil story they gave me when i started just in case i ever thought about steeling and what happens if i do..lol
