this is funny...im not going to complain about the 1500 that i got...but no one here looks like they are actually going to be using it for what it was sent out for...lol... economy is sooo fucked up....

Ive received my state and federal check but still waiting on the rebate for $600 or whatever. Anyone else receive theirs?

The federal government is sending each and everyone of us a $600 rebate

If we spend that money at Wal-Mart, the money will go to China

If we spend it on gasoline it will go to the Arabs

If we purchase a computer it will go to India

If we purchase fruit and vegetables it will go to Mexico , Honduras ,
and Guatemala

If we purchase a good car it will go to Japan

If we purchase useless crap it will go to Taiwan ...

and none of it will help the American economy.


The only way to keep that money here at home is to buy sex,
weed, beer, and tattoos, since these are the only products still
produced in the USA .

I think the most you could get was 1600 depending on how you filed...I'm married with two dependants, filed joint and got 1097.00 don't know how they got that figure though. I may be because of our income??

It is the federal economic stimulus package... not really a tax refund, per se. As long as no one is claiming you as a dependent, you'll get $600 in your situation.

It is supposed to be a round number. $600 for individuals and $1200 per married couple, plus $300 per dependent. There are some phase out provisions that are based upon income. They start at $75K individual and $150K for couples, I believe.

Got my document explaining why it was an odd number today...we had 1200 for filing status plus 600 for two kids minus 5% for being over the 150k mark...equals 1097.00 :-(

I heard its not "bonus.-.free" money its a draw off next years refund? So whatever next years refund nets you subtract the amount recieved. Anyone else heard this?.

I think its counted towards income but not directly subtracted from any return you may receive.
