This is complete and utter BS to be acquitted of all charges. 41 bullets is a lot to pump into a person whom it turns out had no gun what so ever.

They are above the law! We need firearms to protect ourselves from LEO's.

A few of my friends are officers and even they are shocked and taken-a-back that they got no punishment. I would hate to be a cop in NY right about now. Although I can say I am not surprised. NY cops have gotten away with this stuff before it seems.

cops in NY are used to this, the last guy only got what 41 bullets? Its is a sad thing. Thats why I am a very respectful person when I deal with Police. Of course it is a little different in Redding. Alot of bad things happen at strip clubs at 4 am in the moring. Just look at the history of what has happened over the last 10 years or so with famous people being either killed there or involved with killings.

They aren't off Scott-free just yet. They were acquitted of criminal charges. They still face disciplinary issues from the commissioner and department. The trial was basically did they commit murder or not. The judge decided they did not.

If you read the judges remarks post trial he states that the suspects stories made no sense whatsoever and they offered no evidence to convict the officers.

Blame the lawyers, not the system

cops are dicks everywhere...i got my ass beat and hog tied in vallejo police department just because i threw wet toilet paper at their camera..lol...it wus pretty fucked up but i went there and acted like i wus going to write a complaint and the cop that towed my coupe took off the 30 day hold because he felt bad for me..i had a gash on the side of my head that was bleeding pretty bad..thats one of the reasons i stopped pulling over for those bastards [Big Grin]

The problem I have encountered is more with the younger "cowboy" cops. They seem like they have something to prove. One day one of these cops will fuck with the wrong person and get in way over their head.

Cops are trained to unload their entire clip/magazine into the target.

Didn't the officers say the car was headed towards them? that gives them enough to open fire even if the person doesn't have a gun.

Well honestly...If they are in plain clothes with guns out, I wouldn't trust it either. I would have tried to run them over. But from what I read it is conflicting stories about what really happened. And from what I was told is that cop are not trained to use such level of lethal force. But that was from a Sac PD and Stockton PD officer could be diff in NY. But to be found guilty of nothing at all is just plain ridiculous.

cops are trained to fire apon till theres no longer a threat. why unload a mag when the guy is down and dead with the first round. keep shooting, you got 14 more rounds to go....lol

Same situation a while back involving Daly City PD/SSF PD firing about 30+ rounds onto a suspect on cruches or he was disabled but "MADE" an impression as though he was going to attack officers with a "ROCK" (jestures showing that he had a rock in his hand and was aiming to throw it to officers).. So officers shot the person 30+ times.

I still call [BS flag] on the cops but i wasn't there when neither incidents took place so i can't really judge either party but all my prayers are with the victims families.

People don't always fall down with the first shot, plus when on the ground they can still shoot you back if they aren't hurt that much so they keep shooting until they stop moving.
Thats how i'd do it with a burglar (unload my entire mag/clip), just don't reload your gun after unloading it into a burglar, it would look like you were going to commit murder.

Most likely that guy and this guy weren't actually shot 41 or 30 times. They are most likely reporting the amount of shots fired. Under stress and other things people aren't the perfect shot everytime.

Oh no, that person was definetly STRUCK at LEAST 20 times by a bunch of Police Officers, they had to "SEW & STICH" the mans body together for funeral services.

Didn't the officers say the car was headed towards them? that gives them enough to open fire even if the person doesn't have a gun.

Im not quite sure what police issue mag/clip holds 41 rounds can you tell me one that does? As one officer fired 41 rounds alone.

where did you read that?

here's what I saw in the article -

quote:

The officers said that as the club closed around 4 a.m., they heard Guzman say, "Yo, go get my gun" — something Bell's friends denied.

Isnora claimed that after he warned the men to halt, Bell pulled away in his car, bumped him and rammed an unmarked police van that converged on the scene. The detective also said Guzman made a sudden move as if he were reaching for a gun.

Benefield and Guzman testified that there were no orders from the police.

With tires screeching, glass breaking and bullets flying, the officers said they believed they were the ones under fire. Oliver responded by emptying his semiautomatic pistol, reloading, and emptying it again. Isnora fired 11 rounds, and Cooper four. Two other officers who fired weren't charged.

When the smoke had cleared, there was no weapon inside Bell's blood-splattered car.

a total of 50 rounds were fired, from 5 officers? Sounds like a shit load of shots fired all at once to me.

Damn. The guy is such a bad shot he missed with all 11 rounds, reloaded and missed the next 10 before striking on the 22nd shot? What is he blind? I can see all the other cops just staring at him wondering when he's going to stop! Could you imagine if he had a revolver! He'd still be out there reloading. Not defending, not accusing, but I'd be damned if I'd work with the guy.

Officers clips for their handguns hold 15 rounds, but i am sure they can get a bigger clip if they wanted.

Yeah under stress its harder to hit a target, he could be the type of person that trips out hard when under stress. He could have been the guy standing infront of the car when it started moving.
