Ive got a 95 mustang gt im looking to sell and was wondering what I should set my asking price to?

It has 116k miles and is an automatic. Its mods include: bbk shorties, bbk catted x, 2 chamber flowmaster dumped before axle, bbk underdrive pulleys, 3:27 rear gears, alum driveshaft, trans go shift kit, ultra clear headlamps, corners and fog lamps, 315s rear and 245s front (tires have around 3k miles).

And the bad car has no ac, trans needs rebuild, engine pings at WOT under load, driveshaft needs shortened or stock replacment, slight damage to frt bumper, tint bubbling.

I was going to suggest $4500 obo until I saw the problems.

I think if you got $3.5K you'd be coming out on top.

If you fix the tranny and AC, I'd think $4500 is doable.

Best of luck

LOL [Big Grin] sorry but I'm almost right. AC not working in a fox is like ash tray door not working. No one expects it to work in a fox but in a 95 its a little more expected. Almost goes the same for the tranny. Basically would you want to throw money at a 1995 Auto or an 87-93 Auto? His car will be worth lots more with the AC and Tranny fixed. Just remove the tint and lower the car a couple inches that will increase the value too in my opinion.

I am cheap though...not trying to say I'm not a cheap bastard. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

These pinging issues are a huge concern on the 94-95GT cars due to aggressive timing curves.

My 94GT that I sold a few months ago pinged like a SOB with 87 or 89 octane. It was fine on 91, but that got pricey...

Mine was running good on 91 but in hotter weather it needed the 91 plus either NOS or turbo octane booster all the other brands it still pinged with, Im thinking it may just have some carbon build up on the pistons raising the compression.

Im kinda use to buying 91 as I own a 00 WS6 as well but it gets way better mileage then my GT.
