yup it sucks! i was on stevens creek heading to the 280 south. and i was on the far left lane and this lady comes out of the drive way crossed all three lanes (illegaly) in to mine... messed up the fender, bent the door a little bit, and scratched the car all a long the side to the 1/4 panel .... when it fucking rains it pours ..











this is the driver door... the gap was not there before the accident





and this is the passenger. the gap is real close... i havent even opened the door yet. i think it might hit



oh yea and my hood does not close the way it should. i think the latch moved...

go find the highest price qoute. than ask ur insurance for the check. my statefarm did that for me on my focus.

p.s. dont forget to look at every detial like header panel rubber molding evry little thing a good shop will pick out the littlest things.

What if they claim it salvaged? according to KBB the car is only worth 2400... can i claim my upgrades? like tko tranny and stuff like that? this is my first accident ever. and it was her fault and she has full coverage...... my insurance is geico...... thanks any help on what to do would be great!

Its HER fault, so have HER insurance cover it. DONT file a claim thru your company, they can slavage your car. Her insurance company CANNOT Salvage your car, only your insurance company can do that. Sux that happened

looks simple to fix, but the gaps looks to me ur front end isnt straight. i would look for a new ride thats just me personal preference.

if there going to salvage it, tell them let me think about it an strip all the goods off it an let them salvage a stock car.

SHE just filled a claim to my ins!!! .... oh yea and she doesnt have full coverage...................... also she said it happend at the intersection and that i was speeding!

unless you have receipts for EVERYTHING you won't get more than the kbb price unless you request to have an agent who specializes in classic and musclecars come out to do the estimate. and even then you won't recoup the cost. my old notchback with over $6,000 in upgrades was hit, they wanted to give me $2500 until i had a specialist come out, but even then i only got $5000.
and were they any witnesses to the acccident? due to your car being a mustang, you will be looked at as speeding probably, i got screwed in a fenderbender that way. just make sure you have your insurance company on your side. if you have any questions, pm me. it's gonna be a long, sucky process, but you'll get through it.

If she admitted to it and its on record (especially police report), you're golden. I've been through that. She doesn't have a leg to stand on.

it is confirmed!!! the insurance just called me and they said its %100 her fault! so now i need to go to a couple of shops to get estimates.....

DOES anyone know of a couple good shops

damn...dat happen to me but they gave me 5500 cause da car was totaled....there a place on senter pan ameriacn next to cosco...i think they charge $50 for a estimate....yours should be around $2000 n damages...but its all oem parts....sorry moses there not gonna give u a 4inch cobra r hood....

dude, try to get a high estimate and get a check. i hit some bitch a while back and "i" got the benefit out of it. my insurance didnt go up and i got a check for $2300!!! for only a cracked hood, bumper and headlight.

shit now i have a cobra r hood, clean bumper, clear headlights, foglights, hid's, and painted front end

thanks to parker and the one bitch i hit.
