Cop bashers SUCK! They should have killed the whole innocent family! Their job is so hard they have the right to do anything. The home owner even said "If they don't pay the $800, I'm not going to be broke," Saephan said. "(But) after they find all the facts and the truth comes out, they still refused to pay for the damage. That really makes me upset."

It's not like he is suing for a million dollars (like most people do in the U.S). He is merely asking for his doors to be repaired.

Alameda has NO claims in the last two years based on this article. He put in for the $800 claim and it got DENIED.

Where are the checks and balances for this kind of shit? The cops made a mistake and should pay for the damages.

Do you have any idea how many doors are broken down on raids made by swatt.... Im sure they bust down alot of doors every day of people who are probebly inocent but are harvesting a fugitave and what not. So is the government supposed to pay all of those people the damages as well.... man if so we better start a new door repair budget.... Cops dont just go busting down doors for no dam good reason, like was said earlier they go through a whole process so you could blame the judgicial system for issueing the warrent and make them pay and who ever else was involved, then you get into a whole cluster fuck of whos fault it is and by then the man hours wasted on this pitty thing are just stupid. People (including Police) should be held accountable for their actions. The police made the mistake. They should pay for the doors (should be no argument).

I am wondering if the victim can simply make the claims via his homeowner's insurance. Letting the insurance company deal with the police would work better in this case (you would think - under vandalism)).

Why are you turning a simple mistake into loving or hating cops? Never was the issue here about who likes police it was about a mistake being made and holding the people who made the mistake liable. They didnt want the money the got false info and acted on it. I just dont understand why youre so overbearing on liking and disliking LEO's. Thats not the issue at all.
