Was driving through rocklin today and got popped. No front license plate. Is there anyway for me to just pay the fine and not put on a front plate?

That sucks, was it right after you left my house? My friend got one on his car and went to just pay the fine because he figured it was only a few bucks, it turned out to be like $80 and he was stuck because the car had already been sold so we couldn't go back and fix it. I'd just put it on with some double stick tape or something and get it signed off.

Yep, you can just pay the fine. It will only be about $10 if you just put your front plate on. Way more then $10 if you don't fix it.

Yeah I did that before. Works fine. The cops are usually too lazy to even walk all the way out of the building any how.

Does the fine increase each time your caught without the plate?

I wish, my fried JT got popped by the Lincoln PD and then I got popped 5 minutes later by the Rocklin PD. One thing I did notice thou, there was a another car next to me, front tinted windows, no front licence plate, AND expired tag, and was passing me up. I was the one that got pulled over.
I seriously feel that Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln PD profiles people in Mustangs/Camaro's.

I could be wrong but I think it actually does go up. I usually keep my front plate under the seat. I've gotten pulled over for that before, I told the cop someone tried to steal it and it was just hanging by one screw so I need to get allen bolts to help protect it. Just show him you have it and say you'll run over to home depot right away, get new bolts and put it back on. Thats worked for me a few times.

You can just pay the fine and not fix it. Not sure how many times that works though, i know a guy just paid his tint fine and on his 4th ticket they told him its mandatory fro him to show up in court.

Nope, got nailed for this a few years back.
This also attracts Cops who may not have even noticed that you don't have a front plate, but having it in the corner of the dash makes it stick out like a sore thumb

i think im gonna be putting mine on tonight. i cant be pulled over

no you cant place it in the window. the vehicle code states it cant be above 60 inches or something like that.
And ive gotten at least 4 fix it tickets for it and it was $10 everytime i got it signed off.
I actually just got pulled over this because i have a ford racing plate on the front of my car. but i keep the acutal plate right behind it. so when i got pulled over i told the officer i would just switch them around and once i did it in front of him he let me go. looks gay tho. so i just ordered some personalized plates

i think he meant if he didn't fix it could he just pay the fine. You can do that but the price might go up and they might catch onto you.

some cop over here popped hella cars all down the block (which were parked obviously) for no front plate. i walked out of the house and the first thing i noticed was a ticket on my 03 cobra. i went to run an errand and i was noticing at least 10 to 15 cars on the same block had tickets too. the police department must be hurting for money. the ticket only said 25 bucks thank god... either way its cheap, but if i show proof of correction as always, only 10 bucks.
