I bent my driver side rim last night driving through Lucky's parking lot in San Ramon [Frown] the last thing I expected to hit was a fucking hole..Car bottomed out on the control arms and stopped the car completely. I got out of the car and regular cement height was where my lug hole on the wheel face is. I ended up having to literally drag the car out of the hole in 1st gear. I regularly pay attention to things like on the road but it was dark, I was driving 2-3mph max because it was immediately after stop sign, and it was a parking lot. It just wasnt expected. Went back to the lot today during the day...I found property managements number to file claim and took some pictures to submit. Notice I didn't say pot hole, this was like a damn ditch. Approx 6-8" deep and 2x2 ft wide. Funny watching people today driving through it in there luxury sedan or SUV looking in the mirrors to see what the hell they ran over. No cones, no warning construction signs, nothing... just some random hole [Confused]

Anyone has suggestions for wheel repair shops that they've delt with?

Go to Rite Wire Wheels in Walnut Creek to fix your rim, your rims were fixed there many years ago.

I recieved an email from the company today sayings this
"Jayson,

It doesn’t seem that the pothole could have caused damage to your rim. We are fixing the hole as we speak."

A word of advice, don't pin your hopes on winning in small claims, no matter how strong your case is. I sued a company last year and my case was airtight, but the judge ruled against me anyway, with no reason given. It depends on the judge, but many of them don't want to encourage lawsuits by awarding damages to plaintiffs against companies.

My point is, if you can get them to settle, do it! Anything is better than nothing and your chances in court are slim.

Thanks for the advice [patriot] I actually think I seen you driving earlier the day before I hit the pothole. You were driving the the '67 at night, you pulled into chevron across the street from hooters in Dublin. Was that you?

I drive this car everyday in many other cities, have hit potholes but nothing like this. This pictures may not show the depth and angle of the drop, but its pretty big. I could very well avoided it during the day. It was late, dark, and low lighting in that area. Part my fault for just not fully paying attention. If this is the damage caused at 2-3mph, imagine if it were farter away from the stop sign at regular speed.

Yes, that was me! [Big Grin]

I was getting my side exit exhaust installed by Tri-Valley Muffler. Sounds nice! I got glasspacks too.

They are doing side exit exhaust on my 90 vert tomorrow.

Tri-valley is the shit. I've had all my work for my cars done by them. I should be there next week actually, removing the SLP LM.
