I had to get my truck towed to the shop to have the rear end rebuilt. The guy who came to pick up the truck was cool, and the truck made it to the shop without any problem. AAA center then calls me back and tells me that I owe $60 for towing because the first 5 miles are free, and 6 miles after that are $10/mile. Driver never said anything about that to me. I also had the truck dropped off, I didn't bother following to the shop. I do have a membership with AAA, apparently I only have the basic membership which only includes 5 miles of towing. Am I able to argue with this?

In your contract with AAA when originally set up it states the first 5 miles are free and so and so from there on. Nothing else needed.

Try to upgrade to the + membership. I have it, 100 miles free towing 3 or 5 times a year.

not the responsibility of the driver to tell you about your membership with AAA

just be glad it wasnt 30 miles

and $10 sounds cheap

just got my renewal in the mail $84 - $5 off for instant renewal via check/c.c. for plus membership.

I've used AAA to get me and my car home when I drank a lil too much. As long as I'm 100 miles from home I'm good

get AAA plus, i had it for years and never used it. However, a few of my friends had their car towed thanks to it.

Yep, that's what i have. 100 miles of free towing. I've used it numerous times and well worth it! (it's only like $25 more than the standard membership)

I JUST RE DID MINE FOR 54 + 30 FOR MY BROTHER TO BE ADDED WASNT TOO BAD BUT I THINK IT STATES FIRST 5 MILES ARE FREE OR TO NEAREST SHOP TO FIX YOUR VEHICLE I WOULD READ UP ON ALL THAT KEEP PLAYING STUPID AND BE NICE SEE WHAT YOU CAN DO OR WORK W THE SHOP TO GIVE YOU SOME KINDA DEAL SINCE YOU ARE PAYING THEM TO FIX YOUR VEHICLE AS WELL GOOD LUCK
