Hello,

I'm getting my vette tinted tomorrow, 15% rear and 50% side...

i just wanted to know if tint tickets are fines or fix it tickets nowadays??

i heard that it was a FINE only and it doubles every time you get caught with it...

anybody here get a tint ticket lately? if so, how much was that fine?

Its still a fix it, but you can pay a fine and not fix it.

Each time you get caught or cited the fine can go up. Depends on the officer/deputy who cites you and the judge.

CHP guy drove by me when i was waiting to pull out of a parking lot and then he immediately pulled over and waited for me to pull out and then pulled me over.
He must have been bored cause i've never had ANY problems with my tint/no plate before

i believe so, i believe its just like a regular ticket in that if i get it fixed and pay the fine i don't have to show up in court. I think the date is just am ultimatum on how long you have to pay and fix the car.

Dana, you can fix it and have it signed off! Besides I am sure you know some cops, being your in the fire chasing biz! You know a few cops! [Wink] Ask them to sign it off!

If you live in SF then there is a very good chance that you will get messed with by SFPD and/or CHP for window tint on the sides.

I would recommend against it unless you know a cop who will sign it off for you [Smile]
