Damm this year FLEW BYYY, wayy too quick, but i must admit, 2007 started pretty rough with personal issues but after September, things started getting good.
For me personally, i graduated College with my degree in Network Systems Administration, started working in my field as a National Network Systems Administrator making 2x more then what i was making earlier this year, im going salary Jan 18th 2008 hitting close to 68K at age 23, earlier today got a phat bonus check for Christmas for accomplishing tasks before hand.
Just had a meeting earlier with my Director and CEO and they want me to take a 2 weeks vacation PAID Starting NEXT MONDAY!!!!!!
Christmas is around the corner...
I've been on Cafords reading most of the threads, people been through lots of sh!t this year, how is everyone else doing? What are you're guys plans for 2008?
My personal resolution is to hit 80-100K By Summer 08 and start settling down and purchase my first house in the Bay Area.
What about you guys? How was your 2007, and plans for 2008?

your right 2007 did go by fast. Same here, I am graudating from college too, it feels good to go to college. Statistic show that an average person with an college degree makes at least 15k more than person without a degree. College degree really paid off for me I am working as an Network Administrator/IT Support in a Law Firm. My plans for 2008 is buy a new cars and a house it should be no problem with the phat pay check I am getting lol.

Working as an Network Administrator/IT Support, should be in 6 figures less then 3 years the way we are going.
In 3 years I will have accumulated close to 6 figures in debt!

LOL. I'll start chucking away at it after I get married so I can have the wifey pay for it. It's going to be a while tho. I'm only 25 and I have the rest of my life to work.

This year:
Graduated from College
Got a Union job
Moved out of Vallejo
Got a new commuter car
My 2008 resolution is to get my notch running and resting in a new house!
You are lucky to have cool management. I work too much and get laughed at for requesting days off unless it is sick leave.

Debt is a bad thing, don't rack it up!
If you make say 80k a year why not just spend/budget like you only make 60k? Can't go all out and get the biggest house or luxury cars right out the gate right? Then invest the money saved responsibly and enjoy luxuries little by little.
Nawww what do I know, I'm just a broke college kid
On that note my resolution for 08 is to get all A's in my classes for spring and fall semesters, and summer session as well. At the same time I want to find a better paying part time job. Im fucking feeling wore out from the full time student/30+ hours at work a week routine tho.

Don't be sad. My debt is because of tuition and not because I'm splurging. I'm back in school at UCD school of Med and tuition/books is costing me the value of a new Mustang GT per year. I got four years to pay for. LOL. I'm only making fun/light of it because it's a bit disheartning to think about a big pile debt...I like to call it a loooong term investment.

07' has been a great year to me.
Without going into great detail I'm living very comfortably now and I'm not even maxed out on my pay scale.
08' Resolution?....Well...How about being part of the entry team. This will be a long road of hard work and dedication before I can grasp what I need to know but I'm willing to work hard.
Other than that just general home upgrades pool, game room, etc etc.

Good to hear all these college grads. I graduated almost 10 years ago and will be finished with my student loans in summer 08. Then I plan to go back and get my Masters. Business is doing well, we will be launching a new product (clothing line) in 08 as well as our new site and a new Marketing portion of the business. If anyone is interested in the clothing line you can sign up on the site.

Sorry for the spam, but 08 seems very promising for me and 07 was a learning experience but tremendously rewarding.
