Am I crazy if I wanted to trade my 95 GT, 5 spd, coupe (Minus the wheels, & suspension goodies), for a super clean 86 GT t top, 5 spd, with mass air & 5 lug swap.... I know to most its a downgrade, but I absolutely love 4 eyed T top hatchbacks....what do u think????

dont get me wrong that 86 gt is very clean

since he sold it that car/engine when to shit since they mess up the combo that it had it in,

so now it pretty much a stock engine in it.

The car is still very clean. Im not sure how you say the car whent to shit,maybe the previous combo did But as far as the car going to shit, everything that was wrong with the car (previous drivetrain) has been completely changed and done the right way. And yes it is a stock drivetrain down to the airbox,disrtibutor cover,coil cover and the rubber cover that is on the drivers side of the upper intake .Looks about as stock as it did the day it rolled out of the factory,almost as clean too!

i've only owned foxbodies. they are great cars and deserve the utmost respect. but youngsters don't see it that way these days. poor things get dogged and beat all the time. (not saying the grey one ever was!) with that said, they are so easy to steal. people with the wrong intent see these cars and if they want it, they'll take it. yes, that is true for most cars, but come on now, this is a fox mustang. they're stolen all the time. your car is very, very clean. it's not too common to see a clean SN95, 5 liter on the road nowadays. keep the SN!

god id trade that sn95 with a quickness,lol I use to hate 4 eyes and now i love them so much because they are rare and most people get the 87-93 look. I wish i had the extra cash and space but i already have 3 mustangs in the famliy so dont get me wrong your sn95 looks clean,but i think the wheels is what makes it diffrent than other sn95's which makes yours really nice,what rims are those by the way if you dont mind? . I really dont dig sn95, but we got one too.lol Good luck,both clean cars!

If you really want a fox go for it. Personally I think your yelllow GT is a looker and I;d keep it.
I would do fox body if I was going to build an uber fast street car though.

I don't know Dustin... That 86 is pretty sick. I'm not sure how much you have invested into your GT, but its rare that you see a clean 86 on the road these days. I think that 86 would get my attention on the road more than your GT. No offence, your GT is as nice as it gets. But you already have a sweet SN95 Mach1.
I say mix it up a little if its as nice in person and a good running car.

Thanks Steve...Im still considering the trade, its just a hard decision....honestly though, the dude hasnt even seen my car in person yet, so who knows if he will want it or not, or vice versa....

Granted, my car (95 GT) probably has a higher blue book value than the 86, but the value is in the eye of the beholder....Both are cars that someone is gonna love & someone is gonna hate...Alot of people hate 4 eyed fronts, but on the other hand alot of people hate yellow too.... I personally love yellow & I love 4 eyed front ends, even more than the later 87-93 front, but thats just me....

Now if the 86 has problems & its a pile of junk, then it wouldnt be worth it, but if its got a strong, reliable drivetrain & the exterior & interior are in compareable shape to the 95, I think its worth the trade....The main thing my car has going for it is that its a virgin with only 82,XXX miles & it was bone stock only 3 months ago....the motor is pretty much untouched & the only mods are suspension, flows, H pipe, K&N, king cobra, & clutch quadrant & firewall adjuster. Actually, all mods will be removed except for the exhaust, & clutch if we did trade BTW........We will see how it turns out???
