I swear thats the exact fucking reason I sold my SS. I loved that shit to death, hell it was my dream car. When I started seeing all these candy painted f-bodies on 20s and shit I knew they were the next 5.0s. I cant fucking stand this shit. I personally think that shutting the freeway down doing doughnuts is stupid but I also think doing 120+ streetracing on the freeway is just as stupid and just as illegal. It appears that some of you guys are blaiming these guys doing doughnuts for the reason cops mess with muscle cars. I think it has more to do with streetracing then anything else. I'm in know way condoning what they did but at the same token streetraing aint exactly safe or legal either.

I could have easily talked about how boring a CA Fords rideout was back in July, how unorganized it was by routing it out on the go, and how the organizers of the rideout ditched everyone in the middle of Half Moon Bay. But no we didn't, we soaked up the somewhat offending comments/compliments. One quote from a CAFORD member, "Stang up Fam behaved themselves pretty well", now how do you respond to something like that? It's like thanks but no thanks. We did the rideout just like everyone else, was it because we were young minorities that some of you expected something different? We attended a CAFORDS carshow in July, we didn't take home a single award. But a participant took home first in a stock V6. How? I guess all you have to do is "write" your mods down and not really have them to win right? "Stang Up" was silent about that one. Matter fact, that car was on our rideout this SAT and it's still stock. CAFORDS? I think that's about enough negativity on this page for the night. Question now is what have you done for your community lately? "Stang Up" can answer that one. Community service in Richmond, "Stang Up" helps the kids. I am the owner of a mustang site that also happens to have 1500 registered club members and we now put on multiple cruises in bay area, Sacramento and SoCal.. including the Cruise to Knotts.. We have had NO occurrence's of side shows, closing down freeways... pulling stupid shit that can risk the lives of others and the main thing.. putting the clubs name in the trash...

We have been in Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, 4 Good Guys magazines and most national mustang clubs recognizes us because we work hard to make the Mustang name good again...

You idiots out there shutting down the freeway.. causing one lady to almost die..(Lady was rushing her mother to the doctor's because of a bad asthma attack)make the rest of us who bust our butts to make the mustang community a family oriented atmosphere.

I might be getting out of line but grow the fuck up... I hope to God they catch you guys... maybe the more cars they snatch it might actually drill some sense into you... Quite ruining it for the rest of us who bust our butts to actually enjoy our cars!

Thats the exact behavior at fuckin sideshows and people were afraid thats what your club represented.... guess they were right about that. You say that no one got any tickets on your cruise..... if they were involved in that shit on the freeway I hope their cars get impounded and they loose their licenses taken away! That shit may seem fun on your end but its fucked to the people sitting in traffic trying to get home or anywhere they need to get.... what if one of your family members were in trouble and the cops or an ambulance couldn't get through because some assholes were blocking the road with their stupid games? its nice going through life not thinking about your actions and how they effect other people, huh? I thought you guys took pride in doing good things for the community..... doing donuts all over a freeway isnt a good thing.... just so you know.....

sad to say but a guy i work with and his brother were apart of this. they both are just plain idiots. one has a v6 mustang on 22's and the other a ss on 20's. he would try to tell me stories of how he could do a donut and a half in his v6 and 2 when he first starts his car up cuz according to him the motor is cold and makes more power. i would have to tell him i dont care every morning. and his brother had a "383 stroker, h/c/i, procharged, 100 shot camaro made 450 to the wheels!!! haha

they did this in the middle of a quiet neighborhood in a housing development with the cheapest house going for 450k

someone just posted up on Norcal Ls1 about this. Apparently paramedics were responding to a heart attack victim but could reach her because the were blocked by theis sideshow event. I guess the lady died so that means these people that impeded the paramedics and caused the lady to dies from lack of care are in deep crap now. Charges are now being worked on.

... i got busted for street racing 2 years ago. there was no cars around what so ever and it was 1 am. i got caught and the law was to the full extent. i got a year of probation, 800 ticket 1200 to get the car out, and two points on my record.. these guys did somehting worse they completely blocked traffic in the middle of the day! they should not get anything lower that what i got.

My friends Niehbor is chp on 880 and asked if any of our friends were involved since he knows we have domestic cars. ... i got busted for street racing 2 years ago. there was no cars around what so ever and it was 1 am. i got caught and the law was to the full extent. i got a year of probation, 800 ticket 1200 to get the car out, and two points on my record.. these guys did somehting worse they completely blocked traffic in the middle of the day! they should not get anything lower that what i got.

I got poped a few years back for streetracing in san jo and went to jail for it. Originally I was looking at 4-6 years in jail for assult with a deadley weapon on a police officer( the car was considered a deadley weapon). I got lucky on a plea bargain wreckless driving but don't wish that shit on anyone. 4-6 years for streetracing?? needless to say I haven't raced in san jo again. To say that someone else should get punished just cuz you got yours isn't right. If someone steals your car, does the next guy deserve to get his stolen just because yours was??????????

Yes I do agree up to a certain point. It is hypocritical. But the whole freeway sideshow incident is the greater of two evils. In fact you can't compare two cars racing down what is almost 99% an empty straight in the middle of a industrial neighborhood to putting an extremely busy freeway to a dead stop. They did this right in Union City going northbound between Alvarado Niles and Fremont Blvd exists and you should know how busy it gets. Both acts are stupid but the freeway stunt may have put an infinite amount of lives in danger while the street racing which happened in the past put only 2.

look what they did was much worse than what i did. i was not hurting anyone by my actions except for me and the other driver if there where to be a accident. I'm not trying to vouch for these guys. I wasn't there and didn't shut down the freeway but if I rolled through and saw what they started and saw a clearing.... I'd for damn sure lay some rubber of my own and I'm not going to lie about that. If this thread started off with people praising them and saying how cool it is then there would be alot more people coming forward and agreeing, people not afraid of standing out instead of agreeing with the crowd. Maybe there should be no more cruises associated with ca fords cuz someone might do a burnout on tape and get everyone involved in the cruise (which is illegal in CA I believe)arrested. I was really just watching this video. It first caught my eye because it said High Octane with a Maro on it. They was really doing big. But, if that same group came out here to The Bay and it was posted on this site. I think someone would copy the plates and cirlce it for doing something illegal, then a rumor would surface about an endangered animal like a rare bear or something was hit by a car, then someone would report them to an animal rights organization and give us up to date progress on the case against them. And finally, the producers of the video would be blamed for the whole thing because they put the whole thing together. lol

Then again maybe not, because the people on the video are like most of the people on this site. (Older people with traditional american values)

people are sayin back in the day everyone was down for street racing this and that and lock your cars up if your scared, i think what it comes down to now is that the police are way more stricter then they use to be, giving people bull shit tickets for exhaust and cold air. this makes no one want to street race like back in the day, the consequences seem way worse now then ever.
they will ticket you for anything now days, a tint ticket that is fucking stupid

nah.... that vid is to old (around 3+ years) i will leave it to cold case files to work on that vid....

plus none of those guys have myspace profiles i checked .....lol J/K

i think when i first saw that vid there was debate on that guy running from the cops, if i remember correctly the whole thing was stagged.... and i always wondered why the second part got cut off...
