It wasn't a screaming deal but when I saw the car I fell in love and had to get her. I got her for $25k plus fees and extended warranty from a dealer. I had no idea it was modded until I got there... So now I don't know how the hell I am gonna smog it.

First thing I would do is change the fuel filter ASAP. We have rebuilt several 03/04 Cobra motor's in the 32,000 to 36,000 mile range that have fallen victom to nothing more than a dirty fuel filter. Just think of it as 450+ hp through a clogged 3/16ths fuel line.

Just food for thought. [patriot]

Thanks for the advice, thats next on the list. I tried once but its a pain in the ass to get to and I didn't have the fuel line tool. I changed the plugs, they were original, haha. Anything else you would suggest changing to prevent damage?

Always good to see another cobra owner post up!
[patriot]
FWIW, I would suggest a tune, I'm guessing the stock tune is still in there and with those mods, it would help you out and be safer...

also, ditch the stickers! [Razz]

Thanks for all of the compliments guys!

The car is dyno tuned and ready to go. When I got it their was a diable sport deltachip in it, the car kept shutting off as I was driving. I was freaking out, I thought the car had serious problems, so I pulled the chip and the car never died again.

I brought it to Mustang Magic in Deer Park, NY and they tuned it with the ACT Excallibrator 2. What a difference... I drove to their shop on a monday, and they were closed. I'm standing out there looking at the street, and I couldn't figure out why it looked so damn familiar... It looked like this badass cobra video I saw on youtube, so I went online and typed in snakebite, yep sure enough the video was taken in front of their shop. The next day I went there again, got to talking to the owner and sure enough thats their car. Small world! The Cobra I had been watching on youtube for ever was their car...

Nice car and all but for 24k plus taxes and fees you could have found one locally. Not to mention the money you spent driving out their and driving back. You ended up spending atleast 28k when its all said and done. Not really saving any money but I am glad you got what you wanted....

No Icouldn't find one locally, I had already tried. All of the ones I found locally from dealers were pieces of shit.

First off thanks Yellow94GT for the suggestion, I changed the fuel filter today and the gas that came out was dark brown, that filter was DAMN dirty.

TRIXSNK

I had them tune the car to 91 octane and it doesn't ping at all, I also asked him to do a VERY conservative tune on it just to be safe. He told me that he could still get a bit more power out of it but I told him not to, a running car without that extra 40hp is better then a blown motor because I wanted to push it...

Feel free to stop by Carls JR, AM/PM, or Gas house Pizza. We are usually at one of those locations on Friday and Saturday nights.
