hieroglyphics is the shit, bay area hip hop. i really like "you never knew." see if you like atmosphere - "woman with the tattooed hands," chances are you'll like his other stuff. Camp Lo's new song "ticket for 2," old stuff like "gotcha" and of course "luchini." jus throwing random songs out there but i'm really liking these right now too. kaz kyzah's "cocaine." and for old time's sake Viktor Vaughn's "let me watch." all good stuff right there.

yah, hieroglyphics is good stuff.. and atmospeheres older stuff is better but his new stuff is still good... im a fan of living legends...especially the grouch and luckyiam...

Now u guys are talking my language....Real hip hop like Common, Kanye, Nas, Talib Kweli, & Mos Def are always on my playlist...

Also on an underground tip, lookout for groups like Little brother, Slum Village, Zion I & the late great J Dilla...

As far as west coast music goes, Im currently bumpin alot of late 80s, early 90s bay area stuff like Too Short "Born to mack", Spice 1, E 40 "in a Major way", "Game recognize game" by JT & Mac Mall, & then LA sh*t like early Eazy E, NWA, Ice Cube & Rodney O & Joe Cooley....

Terrance, did u not see my record collection when u came through...I have tons of good jazz, classic rock, soul, hip hop, etc...let me know & I can put something together for ya....

Man I cant believe nobody mentioned these Bay classics:

Richie Rich (seasoned Vet and Half Thang)
Section 8
Collision
Askari X (I still bump that
3x's Krazy
Dre-Dog

I am one of the lucky ones to still have:
Cell Block compilation
Bad N-Fluenz (Rappin Ron and Ant-Diddly)
Brotha Lynch (24 Deep shit was knockin)

On the general front I really dislike the state of rap right now. SO I really ony listen to JayZ, Pac, Scarface, EightBall MJG, DMX, Jada Kiss.

And if you want to have some nice easy listening.
Anthony Hamilton
Trey Songz
Jaheim
Tank
John Legend

Thats was a sick ass line. Damn you lost CellBlock...man you cant get that no-where. Not even Twauzi's *sp. lol.

"Dat Nigga Ron's back / With a bomb sack / Im either rappin or signing on a contract."

Man I loved rap back then. Rappin Ron (rip) and Ant Diddly was so far ahead of their time.

But yea rap is terrible to me these days. Oh I forgot one, there was a group out of E.P.A back in the day that was pretty tight.

Totally Insane
