Helping a friend out w/ an 02 Z06
Connecting rod let loose so now need something to replace it with.
He is open to all possibilities ie. low mileage replacement, shortblock, longblock, built shortblock, built longblock, etc.
If anyone has ties to Chevy stuff and can help us out it would be greatly appreciated

the Z06's got the LS6 motor in 01, but i do believe that the shortblock is the same between the LS1 and LS6. Just heads, cam, and intake are different.

Shows what i know about those motors lol.
Thanks for the clarification.
A member (510fifty) pm'd me that his buddy has a complete LS1 longblock w/ zero miles on it for $2,000
Don't know what it is for but i would assume we could just swap front assembly, oil pan, etc to make it work correct?
Buddy was told that getting a long or shortblock may take a month or more that's why we are exhausting all possibilities

The LS6 was an LS1 with intake, heads, cam, and valve changes, as well as computer programing and higher compression ratio boost output compared to the LS1
the 97-04 c5 corvettes have the ls1
the 01–04 z06 corvetters have the ls6
the 05-09 c6 corvettes have the ls2
the 06- zo6 corvettes have the ls7
Stock wise....
LS1 < LS2 < LS6
Modding...
LS1 < LS6 < LS2
