Ok so I'm looking on ebay for a cobra, this one catches my eye. ---CHECK IT OUT---

I'm lookin through the pics and I see the one of the engine, and I'm like WTF?? Its a SOHC without a supercharger... I look at the rest of the pics of the outside and it looks like a cobra, I look at the description and it says 32 valve DOHC V8, so I run it through carfax. Yup they also agree its a genuine cobra. So I look at the interior pics, weird the guage faces aren't white, wait a sec, the cluster is out of a GT. I look at the shift knob, yup sure enough its a 5spd knob...

I email the seller:

"Dear northtexasnissan1,
This car does not have the correct engine in it! This needs to be added to the listings description."

Their response;
"MAYBE THE CAR FEELS MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS ENGINE"

I couldn't believe it! I emailed ebay and their listing was cancelled. I couldn't believe it!

Cluster/Odometer is out of a different car! Who knows what the real mileage is?


So buyer beware when it comes to Cobras I guess...

Yeah so spread it to all of the forums you can, the dealer is going to screw someone over. They relisted it the description saying GT engine and trans in VERY small print! This car would never pass emmissions with the motor swap being out of the same year or older, and the fact of the different odometer in here!

Yeah, here it is again..... $22K buy it now. I'm guessing they got it from an auction or took it as a trade in, no matter what, they got screwed and are trying to pass that along to some dipshit.... web page

It's a Nissan dealer, I'm sure they didn't know. But, at least they added the details to the new listing.

that dealer is by me and advertizes on a large forum out here. they knowingly bought that car at the auction with all the gt shit on it. they have been trying to pass it off as a cobra from day one. they have been called out many times on it, and keep brushing the issue off. This has already been all over dfwstangs.net and ls1tech.

Some one prob wrecked a REAL cobra didnt report it to the insuance,took the reg and vin number and crushed the cobra and put the reg and vin to this fobra? who knows

all the vin tags on the body match and are cobra vin. i think they guy had a cobra, couldnt afford it, bought a gt, swapped the drivetrain, and traded the cobra in or let it get repo'ed
