Well,

after going thru the list and driving some new cars I ordered a Volvo S60 2.5T. Will come w/ leather, moonroof, Geartronic 5 speed auto, and other goodies. I get it for 3 years or 50k miles. Then might consider buying it off lease. I like the looks and the handling and ride are pretty nice. Since it is a factory turbo 5 cylinder, a manual boost controller is an easy way to add some grunt. Will be fun on my 2 and 3 hour highway drives. So I sit and wait til Nov. Anyone else done turbo Volvo's?

Jim, check out some Euro sites for "mod's" on the Ford Focus ST220, I'm pretty sure it shares the same Volvo 2.5 turbo....

Will do, thanks!

Any mods will have to be easily reversed. I have lived w/ an SVO 2.3T and enjoyed how it drove, just not the continuous work to keep it alive.

There's enough Volvo logos cast into a new 500/Taurus/Freestyle's drivetrain to make you wonder if they might just rebody a Volvo with Ford panels soon...
