I have a 1971 Chevelle Malibu that I have owned for about 4 years. I was in love with this car when I first got it, but I have kinda lost interest over the last couple of years. I was wondering if anyone was interested in trading a good shape 86-93 Fox hatchback or coupe for my Chevelle. I am preferably looking for a LX hatch, but Im open to GT's & coupes too. I am also considering selling it too... Keep in mind that this car is a strong running, soild project, & it's worth at least $4000-$3500 if I sold it. havent driven her in about a year but Ive started her up from time to time... starts everytime & runs strong

Here is a pic of her...this is the bad side, but sorry, its the only pic I have...It sits in my bros backyard currently...

The car is a 1971 Chevelle Malibu 350/350 coupe with front power disc brakes. The motor is a 350 & about 10 years old & runs strong. It has an Edlebrock RPM intake & Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, long tubes, flowmasters, Accel Electronic ignition. The tranny is a newer street fighter TH350 that the previous owner bought from jegs in 03, & it has some type of shift kit in it. The tranny pan does have a slight leak, but I think its only from it being a crappy chrome pan.

When I first bought the car I overhauled the whole suspension with poly bushings, hotchkis lowering springs, KYB shocks, all new tie rods, ball joints, center link, & idler arm. The wheels are original GM rallys with all the caps & trim rings & the tires are almost new 245/60/15 BFG radial TA's. After I did all this work, probably only drove the car less than 200 miles so everything is still pretty new.

The body is mostly straight from the doors back other than a few door dings & some minor dents. The passenger side fender is good, but it needs a new hood & driver fender, & both inner fenders. The floors are all solid & the trunk is decent, & as far as body rust it has 1 small bubble at the bottom right quarter about the size of a quarter, so its a solid car. Frame is straight. Its originally a california car btw.

The interior needs a little work. It has a bench seat with black vynil & the front seat has 1 rip on the driver side, & the rear seat is perfect. I have all the interior panels but I removed them to work on the car. The dash is ok, but it needs a new pad, & it needs new carpet & headliner.

All the exterior lights work & the rear chrome bumper & all the glass is in great shape.

I also would include some parts I have laying around including a new front bumper, 1967 12 bolt rearend with working posi, extra driver side door with glass.

I planned on restoring this car, but just lost interest, so if anyone is down to trade or interested in buying, Hit me up @ 916-868-7085 or PM me here....Thanks

If you clean it up and get better pics that thing will be gone in a day on craigslist. I would buy it today if I had the space. Is it black interior?

The seats & door panels are black vinyl, & all the plastic panels are too, but they look like they were originally tan because the back sides are still tan... Other than the cracked dash pad, lack of carpet & headliner, the interior is pretty clean. the rear seat is perfect & the front has one rip on the driver side. The speedo still works too along with the temp & oil gauges.... It actually had carpet & headliner when I bought it, but I ripped it out to make sure the floors & roof were solid....

I would clean it up, but its in my bros backyard. The hood actually goes further down than that, but its pretty shot. It had been covered with leaves right b4 I took the pic....

Even if I cleaned it up, its not gonna get me more money than in its current state....

Sorry, I will only trade it for a complete, running Fox body... I dont know if u guys have noticed the prices of Chevelles, but they are more expensive as a solid shell than most decent shape Fox bodys, & mine actually still runs & is very solid...

Put this on craigslist and sell it and then buy a fox. I don't think any Fox Mustang owners are going to want to trade their Ford for a Chevy that needs work but thats just my opinion. [Razz]

I hear ya. This car does need some TLC, but its a very strong starting point. Besides I see way too many chevy guys on this site... Its easily worth as much as a decent 86-93 fox...

It is on craigslist too btw....
