I wonder if any ufc fighter has seen anywhere near this amount of money in their entire career, much less one fight! [Eek!]

Thats just sad, They take all that punishment and get paid pennies! I think they need either a good promoter and agent or union! The company made approximately 26 million off a ppv event and paid the fighters 750,000 [Eek!] I bet Floyd and Oscar are laughing to the bank!

yup they made good money on that ppv but what happens once these big name fighters from years back are gone? except for a few fighters like pacquiao, dela hoya, mayweather there are virtually unknowns in boxing. does anyone even know who the hw champ is? boxing is indeed dying..lol

I don't see how boxing is dead considering the enormous purses the fighters are getting and the record amount of people that subscribed to the event?

Or are you saying it "sold out" in a cultural sense?

I was being sarcastic with my comments, Boxing is nowhere near dead. I was just laughing about how everyone says MMA has taken boxings place. UFC fighters get ripped off bigtime! how the hell are you going to be th main event and only get 200,000 out of 27 Million! Thats worse than what Don king ever did!

i think its dead, the only reason why this fight made so much money is because of the names of the fighters. The fighters probably said you pay me this amount and i'll do the fight, then since the names are so popular so many people wanted to watch the fight. My friend who hasn't watched boxing in years tried talking me into coming over and splitting the price for it.
The next fight next month we probably won't even hear about like this fight.
