I am putting my car back together again with new Cobra calipers. Before I do, I would like to get my front slotted/drilled rotors resurfaced since I had a little squeeking in the past.

I know it requires a slower bit feed rate than for normal rotors. The bits have to be very high quality too, therefore many shops won't do it for that reason and since they do not want to risk chipping bits as they pass over the holes on the rotors.

Can anyone recommend a competant shop in the east bay that has experience with turning slotted/drilled rotors?

These are pricey BAER 2-piece ERADISPEEDS so I would rather have someone do these that has experience with slotted/drilled rotors. Thanks!
Luke

Never knew they could be resurfaced, I guess you learn something new everyday.

they resurface just like unslotted/undrilled, my buddy took my old cross drilled/slotted rotors to a high school shop teacher and he did it in the shop at the high school with no problems!

thats what I thought until I tried it this weekend at a local shop... They could not get a straight cut.

What you are saying is true if the shop uses high quality equipment. Not all do...

You just need someone that knows what they're doing. I used to cut those all the time when I worked for Kragens. The problem with shops breaking bits comes from them trying to meet deadlines and cutting too much off the rotors. Just slow down the feed.
