got 3 events in 1 night: ufc 69, ifl and pride's last show under dream stage. the shitty part about pride's show is that its airing live from japan, meaning the start time will be 11pm tonight.
we'll see if diego will be able to keep that undefeated record after tonight.

yeah dana was a former boxer and used to be tito's manager. supposedly the fight money will be going to charity and actually was supposed to take place a couple weeks ago but tito was a no show.

The tito ortiz vs Dana White fight is off as far as I know. They were not talking about paying Tito any real money for it and his next fight is supppose to be aginst Rashad Evans so he wants to stay prepared. Besides The Dana White fight was suppose to be boxing style rules. Strictly standup with no kicks etc

The Dana vs Tito fight is this thursday and its supposed to be for charity so if tito is bitching about not getting paid for a charity thing he is a little bitch.

I never thought GSP was that good of a fighter.

GSP is a VERY well rounded athlete. He has to be pretty decent if he was able to take the belt from Hughes (even though GSP landed to nut shots on Hughes on "accident").
Serra is a great grappler but I certainly did not expect a TKO victory over GSP. A submission victory yes but KO or TKO no.

Serra is a badass grappler and he had several weeks to train in his stand up. Thats what we saw last night, he wasn't afraid to stand up with GSP.

Chuck Liddel, Randy Coulter...
It's Couture Dana.
Chuck's big thing is hype. A vast amount of LHW fighters in the UFC lineup just don't stack up to Chuck punch for punch. Chuck has an awesome sprawl and nearly unbeatable takedown defense ability. Eventually Chuck will see his precious title go bye bye. There will always be somebody newer, faster, stronger and overall better than you if you're the champ.
Couture I would call a HW version of GSP but only more experienced and far more humble. GSP is young so he is still learning.
People like Tito Ortiz and Diego Sanchez are the fucking Ron Artest type's of MMA. They give the sport a bad name because they bring attitudes with them and Tito especially brings more excuses then anyone else in MMA it would seem. Sanchez shoving Koscheck at the weigh-ins was just a punk move. A truly composed fighter is not going to allow himself to get that irrate and crack over "shit talking". To me that is no different than a street fighter. A martial artist primary focus should be to remain focused and composed rather than pissed off and acting like a 12 year old.

Randy is a true athlete, Chuck hasn't had a chance to show us all his moves because no one can stand up to him.
What makes Randy a true athlete is because he actually studies this opponents weaknesses and uses them to his advantage.
Most of those fighters just go in there to fight to win they don't really look at how the person fights and studies what they do they just think they can win and they leave it at chance.
Of course there is always someone better than the champion but that person needs to figure out the weaknesses of the champion to beat them.
