I started the paint job by doing the stripes. Here are some shots of how they are coming out. The paint is still laying down and smoothing out, by now it's almost like glass. I'll wetsand it and put on one more coat tomorrow.

I got so excited about this project, I skipped my son's open house! I'm a bad father!

To lock in the sweet bubble effect!

sealer is a better foundation on top of the primer also id u use sealer u dont need as many coats of paint(base coat), u dont always have to use it, like with dark colors it not required, i always like to use it, and it fills in minor sand scratches

I had an old gallon of Behr semi-gloss laying around. I figured hey, it's latex paint, it should stand up to the elements, right?

Is this the same car that was at the same shop 2gun's coupe was at?

You mean In-n-Out body shop on Monterey? Yes, they did great work on the fender flares and side skirts. Now that I'm painting the car I can see there are no imperfections in their work.
