Yeah I hear vista sucks but didn't see anything 'vista' during or after the install. Just wondering if the guy I bought it from was yankin my chain...I honestly don't care cause the authenticity code worked and I'm able to do what I wanted on the laptop. I know there are some smart computer heads out there so "new edition"?

My IT guys at work haven't heard of it either.

I think you got your hands on a OEM or Alpha or Beta version. Bound to be some bugs and stuff. you will find out real quick when you go to update to SP2 (Service Pack 2). Your software may get deactivated or you will get that irritating "This is not a genuine copy of XP screen".

Vista and XP are both very solid OS's. Most problems people have are user errors and the simple fact that every one hates MS because the person next to them does.

lol UWin Startup Utility? Is that really your screen shot?? Yea something whack about that copy mang...I'd go get a real copy.

I personally like Windows Vista and I'm not sire why everyone doesn't like it. I just ordered a new cpu from dell and it came with it loaded. It's very user friendly and has some cool additions compared to XP. [patriot]

Thats not fail proof, and not many know how to write dll's or edit them. May as well get the legit.

it can be found online already edited... seen it installed on several machines with easy to follow instructions... and they all passed the WGA and was able to download sp2.

new edition, aka windoze [Wink]

it's a hacked copy of xp.

I personally run vista right now, it's ok, but you need a very fast computer to run it, I have a core2duo with 2gb's of DDR2 ram, and a geforce 7900gs 256mb video card and it runs -way- slower than XP does on this computer.
