I've seen 2 hoods from ABC. One was sent back only to recieve another of the same shitty quality. The second was very nice but had many hours of labor invested in it.

Every Cervinis hood I have seen only needs a little blocking and it's ready to prep/paint/install.

Good 'ol Cincinatti Composits was garbage too. I had a hood from them that was downright sloppy. I don't think they are in business anymore.

get cervinis its well worth it...abc stuff never fits

thanks for the info guys! [patriot]

i guess thats why good shit cost $$$$

$450 with shipping at abc

and over $450 at cervinis for only the hood not including shipping

damn.... [Frown]

I ordered one piece from them along time ago and swore I would never buy from them again. They have the worse craftsmenship of any body parts maker. My bumper was all warped and basically not even usuable. Sold it on ebay.

DONT BUY FROM ABC unless you want the shittiest parts on earth gracing the panels of your stang.

ive heard good things about ho fibertrends, which is the company that made the 95 cobra r hoods for ford so that gives u an idea of their quality.

for the most part, cervinis is of high quality and require less prep than the other brands. on my 92gt i have the 1.5" cowl from cervinis and it definitely fits good but definitely not perfect. mine would require a bit more sanding towards the sides/edge to make level with the fender. it's minor but for those car nuts even that wouldnt be exceptable considering one of these hoods for run you over $500 to your door when its all said and done.

i have their cobra kit on my 92. i cant be happier with how it turned out. it fits perfect.

+1. Cervini's is damn near OEM quality [patriot]
I've had there cobra rear bumper, front stalker, side skirts, and grill insert. all pieces fit perfectly and were great qualitty. The only sucks is that you pay an arm/leg for shipping. Try and see if anyone has cervini pieces for sale locally before you dish out the money for their rediculous shipping rates. [patriot]

I agree with everything you just said.but to add to that, harwood does make an excellent product with very little fitment issues,2nd to cervini however!

i bought a hood from ABC. the thing is still a little off on fitment, but i don't have the time to sit and realign my fenders. i would prolly pay a little more to go with cervini's

Anyone bought from Maier Racing? From what I remember they are local, NO SHIPPING, and hoods aren't bad?

I'm interested in hearing your opinions.

Cervini's is mediocre at best.

1.)cervinis
2.)harwood
3.)ho trends

I bought a regular 3" cowl. I use to have a 3" cobra rr from abcexclusive. the hood was not great in quality and didnt fit right. Carbonware on the other hand is really nice.

Are you NOT reading what people have suggested? [Confused]

These are my opinions

Cervini is HANDS DOWN the best hood you could buy for a Mustang.

Followed by Harwood

And Meier had nice hoods back in the day,I havent seen any of their recent work but I can only imagine its the same quality it has always been......

Now go buy a fukkin hood [Wink]

ummm.......ya

but i edited it to ho firbertrends that why im asking for more opinions

do a search on the coral. ull see that most do not have anything bad to say about ho fibertrends as is the case with cervinis. i believe the basic hood comes unfinished underneath and for abit more u can opt for the finished version.

ya i did that already, and hella people bought hoods from ho, and said good things....what u mean by unfinished and finished??

Posted by 89SC50 (Member # 6248) on :

Finished underside means bottom of hood is finished smooth like the top, the cheap ones that arent look like grainey fiberglass.
smooth

Spend more now and it will be cheaper when all said and done.

oh ok.... i c

where u get ur hood from?

Posted by 89SC50 (Member # 6248) on :

From Cervinis, they still need a bit of work to be perfect but the shitty ones need hours of work. I have a Cervinis saleen wing also and my friend has some brand I cant remember and when you compare the two it is a joke, one side shaped different than the other on his. cervinis all the way.

Posted by STREETFIGHTER50 (Member # 2973) on :

from what i've seen

1. cervinis
2. harwood

my abc lined up good, but was a little wavy in some spots.

I have a Maier racing hood on the 88. I did have an issue with origonal hood i bought from them but they were stand up people and corrected the situation. I would suggest there hood being as they are a local business. Its decent, light, strong, and will of coarse need prep work just like any other for a premimum paint job. They are a small family run business thats been in hayward doing what they do for over 35yrs. http://www.maierracing.com/ VERY good people [patriot] Maybe Yellow94gt would be kind enough to post a pic of mine.
