has anyone here attended a bartending school? I'm looking to get suggestions on which schools are good. I'm in El Dorado Hills(sacramento area). I'm just looking for a side job for nights/weekends..thanks in advance for any help...

dont do it. get training as a barback then bartend. restaurants do not like bartenders who come from schools because they are not trained in a pressured enviornment and they worry too much about all the shit that goes into making drinks. experience is the best way to learn. i worked in a bar at a really nice restaurant and everyone told me the same thing including the managers. yea starting as a barback sounds like the better route to go. but also knowing ure shit about mixing drinks WILL come in handy. start out as a barback and take bartending classes at the same time
