I want to loose like 10-15 lbs. I know the diet has to be in check. Would running be the best way to shed the pounds?

I did LA Weight Loss, ended up losing about 35lbs in a matter of months. It was hella easy to follow too.

Limit your sugar and carb intake, they are usally the biggest factors of making people overweight, if you can cut down on those and run/jog you should see results after a few weeks/months. Good luck!

I dont drink any soda or eat fast food too much. If I do its either subway or togos. I think I just need some cardio. Running seems to be the choice I guess.

Try to cut back/eliminate alcohol. No late night meal's. Make small changes like ordering a salad instead of french fries.

I wouldnt really eliminate anything, just up your excercise level first. Then go from there adjusting your diet. Lots of people just start dieting without knowing how to or not exercising. Just my .02

Just want to clear something up. Everyone talks about losing weight. Losing weight isn't neccessarily a good thing. What you want to be losing is bodyfat. Muscle weights more than fat and if your not eating enough food for your muscles you'll be losing muscle mass. You lose muscle mass before you start losing fat if your not eating enough to maintain your muscle mass.
Eat healthy, and run and you'll lose fat but make sure your taking in enough protein to keep your muscles too.
Also try and keep your heartrate low when you run and you'll burn more fat. The lower your heartrate the more fat you burn. Otherwise your just doing a cardio workout for your heart.

+1
I was lifting my ass off for a while and not getting much bigger until I started with the creatine and whey protein. Then I bulked up real quick. And he is correct about weight loss.

If you're close to the ocean try surfing. It's a lot more fun the running. I surfed everyday for two months in Costa Rica and ate like a pig and still lost 15lbs.

I haven't read the entire page but it doesn't mention that cardio work, your burning fat but some of the calories your burning is muscle too. Thats why at low intensity the example says the lady burned 50% fat calories and at higher intensity she burned less. She burned less because she was burning more muscle.

So does that mean you lose more weight walking than running? [Confused]

fast walking, yeah you burn more fat calories than running. You need to get into hte fat burning zone though and walking doesn't get your heartrate up high enough.

you have too much of a theory and book knwledge(no offense) its very simple....to loose weight you need to burn more calories than you consume....simple...for me example just by living ie..walking breathng laying down i burn roughly 2300 cals i hit cardio and burn roughly 600 daily in order to loose weight i subtract roughly 500 from that and loose a decent amount of weight

Thats not entirely true....Because you can actually consume muscle in their if your diet is not right. As why he said dont get weight loss and fat loss confused. Cause you can lose fat and gain weight. But you are right as well, it is just not that simple. Which is why I suggested, do nothing but up your exercise regimen first to see what you next course of action should be.

i feel ya...im talking about body mass loss...to keep muscle up your protein intake 1.5g per pound of body weight keep the weights heavy as well as a strict cardio plan...but remember keeping muscle while loosing 40 plus is near impossible

thats basicly everything i just said. I just didn't add the part you will lose some muscle but it won't be the same as not eating any food and doing cardio cause then all your losing is muscle.
