Well fellas after much patience and waiting I finally pulled my new job. Its bye bye 2 costco and hello state job. I managed 2 get in with the state @ the DMV. Best part iz that I'm @ the HQ downtown so I don't have 2 deal with people @ all. Friggin SWEET!!! Get 2 start January 2nd so I'm startn the year off smoove. And I get 2 act an ass my last week @ costco. Caint wait to pay off the cobra and start doin some real mods. Hello 5.0L DOCH [Wink]

Only way 2 get in with the state is to take the tests they have. Go to www.spb.ca.gov and look @ the bulletins for tests. And once ur in if you wanna move up u just gota test up basically. Its a "hurry up and wait" process tho. I took the test in 04 and didn't get hit wit apps till early this year. But they are doin hella hiring right now tho.

Congrats dude. What are you going to be starting as, OA? I started as a student assistant, then took the state test and made OA, then was promoted to PTI in 6 months, then PTII in 6 months, then SSA in a little over a year, and now I'm about topped out at SSA range C and am about to lateral into a special investigator position if all goes right.
