I am so bummed guys. I scratched my drivers, rear fender and my side scoop up pretty bad last night and am in need of a repaint/color match. There are no dings or dents but its definately not going to buff right out.

Any suggestions on body shops and estimated cost of repairs on something like this?

Nee

You could check out the body shop right next to Sean's shop in U.C.

Sorry to hear about the damage........let me guess getting in and out of the garage [Confused]

If your car is black make sure you take it to a shop that has a "down draft" spray booth.

otherwise dirt and metallic particles get in the base and the clear. looks like shit. buffing will not remove the crap under the clear. buffing also removes the UV protection that the clear is there for.

The proper way to paint a car is to spray it perfect without buffing. Use the proper gun set up to match to factory orange peel.

update! All fixed. My paranoia was just that. I took it over to some great people at Gilbert's Auto Body in Hayward.

After reviewing the damage, they used some prototype "top secret" cleaner and it wiped right out.

And get this, they did this free of charge! I am definately remembering that if I ever have the misfortune of requiring more bodywork!

So great job guys! Gilbert's Autobody in Hayward rocks!
