Hudges was dominated the whole time. neither of those kicks really landed on his privates so no excuses.
Silva vs Manson was a boring fight. i feel bad for The smaller guy, even when on top he couldn't reach Silvia's head... Silvia performance was poor.. i mean, you'd expect him to just kill monson with such a huge reach advantge.
Vera has a great chance against Silvia..

. But damn.........Matt Hughes was dominated for the 1 and half rounds that the fight went to. From begining to end. When the first round ended I thought Pierre won it. But it didn't matter because he continued pounding on Matt Huhges.

ground and pound only doesnt make a champion now days you need to be well rounded pierre won how i thought he would. silvia fight sucked. mir is garbage and i knew he was going to lose me and my dad laughed just didnt think it would be that easy

He did try to take GSP down

not really. only one attempt. That's not the usual Matt Hughes.. if you look at all his other fights, you can see that his main objective is always dropping people. he actually went in there and tried to stand up with george.. only after getting hurt did he try to take him down. guess he thought he could stand up with GSP and was wrong.
Matt thought GSP was gonna go for a low kick and tried reaching for the leg and ate a big kick to the face.. [dance]

I honestly believe matt serra has no chance against GSP. there is no way serra can take him down.. and GSP will out punch him anytime of the week.

even if they fight again i believe it will be the same out come pierre has a good defense against takedowns, hughes will tired himself out if he just does shot after shot and then he will prbably catch a knee to the face. but i guess we will just have to wait for a re match.

i think hughes ego got the best of him that night. he had the wrong game plan by trying to stand in front of a much better striker in gsp and try prove a point that his standup has improved. what a big wake up call for hughes. his stand has improved but not enough to throw with gsp.

i was pretty happy to see hughes get his face pounded as when franklin got demolished by silva.

it wouldve been a perfect night if only sylvia lost his title.

i agree Silvia does suck. He doesn't look like hes even done any training at all. Hes only the champion because everyone he fights is scared of him. The title fights with him in them always suck.

he might not look like he trains.. but i'm sure he does.. you can't be part of his camp and not train.. he's body type is just weird.. there are people like that out there.. no apparent muscle but hella strong..

no i am not talking about his muscle mass i know hes strong i am talking about the huge tire he carries around his waist. Frank Mir's first fight back i thought Frank Mir was a piece of crap, his fat was hanging down past his shorts. I think they should make a rule if you aren't in shape you can't take your shirt off to fight. lol

I agree with every point you have. i never said Mir was in good shape. and i never said Silvia is any more qualified to fight than Barney... i don't see where you are going with your comment...

dude, u mustve missed the part when sylvia was rolling on the ground with monson, who is a abu dhabi grappling world champ. sylvia pretty much neutralized every move of monson on the ground and even nearly caught him with a triangle so i wouldnt say sylvia has no ground game.

reason syvlia is hated so much is his style of fighting often times is boring to watch and he plays more of a defensive fight, squeezing out decisions. the guy has a lot of skill relative to what we see in the ufc hw division. vera has a good chance of winning by kicking the shit out of sylvia's thigh.
