i didnt want to get one yet but they say its the shit and that the blu ray technology is off the hook in another report they said a blu ray dvd player is 900 alone no ps3 or nothing so it is really a good deal for those that like to stay on top

the top feels so much better then the bottom so much better [Big Grin]

HD DVD is suppose to be better than blu-ray. Just get the add-on hd player for 360. Blu-ray will fade out, guaranteed [patriot]

Your opinion holds no water looking at the facts of media storage. Just because you have a 360 doesn't mean you should be biased towards the competition.

HD DVD and Blu Ray are currently in a consumer format battle against each other.

Why get an add-on player for a 360 when Blu ray playing capability COMES with the PS3? Think of it, 10 million PS3's sold = 10 million Blu ray players. You can't even get a popular brand Blu-Ray player around the PS3 price right now.

HD DVDs are from 15-25 GB storage while Blu-ray has 50-200GB. Think of how much music, videos, porn that could hold. Think of having all the Terminators (I-III) on ONE disc.

Not sure how they can call it a masterpiece, when it will need at least 4 updates in the next couple of months just so it can do what was advertised, which is play the older ps 1 and 2 games.

I believe what CLEEN 50 was trying to say is that in several consumer magazines, HD-DVD was touted as having the superior picture quality, just not as much storage space.

While I'll end up getting a PS3, eventually, I wont buy any Blue-Ray movies... Sony has had a history of supporting media formats that just fade away, i.e. Beta max...

Oh, and for those who have one... there is a hack out for the 360's HD-DVD drive that lets you play it on your computer.
