really simple. what kinda business? go to your city and request the appropriate forms.
It's pretty straight forward. Atleast in Foster city, might be different elsewhere.

Thanks guys...

It's a computer related business.

That sounds easy enough...do you remember how much it was for the fees?

For the Internet business, do you get a license number and stuff like that?

So once you have the license, can you write off all your business costs?

Thanks again

For now, I'm gonna put an add on Craigslist and try it part time since I have a regular job too. It people show interest in it then I would consider doing it full time.

Tony it is easy to get a business licence. Like said above, just go to your county offices and tell them you want to get a business licence and they will set you up. I recently got mine and it took all of 1 hour. [patriot]

Thanks Drew...I'm gonna check it out when I have some free time from my normal job. Hopefully if things go well, I can be my own boss one day....as long as the wife isn't home...hehe

5.0 SRT pretty much had it Tony.

Go to your County Clerk for the Ficticious busi. name. They will set-you up. If you are gona be dealing with Sales Tax or Whole sales license you will need to get ahold of the Board of Equalization, and ask them to mail you paper work for a sales licesnse and fill it out. They will give the stuff to anybody as long as you do what they want. Which really all they want is your money.

Yearly fees for the license depend on how much money you make at the end of the year. not a lot of money=20 bucks, otherwise you are paying a percentage. it's realy minimum...
Good luck.
