You don't want your car to sound like his, it's probably the worst sounding Mustang I have ever heard.

I've got SLPs on my car too and I like them..they sound good and flow real well..jus seems like it lacks back pressure especially if you're not running cats, so you lose a little low end but the upper rpms seemed to pull smoother

hey J, do you have the pro flows or the loudmouths?

SLP mufflers are just chrome plated glasspacks...
on a 2v 4.6 I would check out the magnaflows or the dynomax.
www.mustangexhaust.com has a ton of sound bites.

I'm old fashioned
2-chamber flows are classic
Greatest exhaust note known to man on a 5 liter imho

I agree, I wish I could run flows on my car but I can't use a chambered muffler.

2 chamber flowbastards and a off road h is a classic exhuast setup and the most common setup.

Although the slp and flowmasters sound mean and rumble, they are too loud for my taste now. I used to have an off raod h-pipe with a 40 series flowmaster and I couldn't talk to the person next to me on the freeway. The next oppertunity I had, I went with a catted bassani x pipe with borla xr-1's and they sound mellow on idle but scream on WOT.

I dont know why everyone likes SLP so much. Every car I have heard with them sounds bad, and they crack and pop when you let off the gas.

I hate them, they're glorified glasspacks.

I agree. No need to re-invent the wheel on this one, unless you can afford a full Bassani SS exhaust . Get Flowmasters for that unmistakeable 5.0 sound.

I would go with Bassani

I kind of like the prochambers with flows on a 4.6. Or a bassani catted x with a bassani catback.
Btw, does anyone think the flowmaster american thunder catback is kind of quiet?

My parents made me put tailpipes back on the car since runnin dumps were too loud.. but now it's WAY too quiet. Any cheap ideas aside from goin back to dumps?

Hey, gotta respect them since they still give me a place to live while I get through school. When I get my own place I'm goin back to dumps

3chamber flows with a high flow xpipe sounds good on a 5.0.
